So are you guys wondering what the heck I've been doing lately? It feels like this is the first time in a while (and it kind of is) that I've been in town long enough to get thoughts together for a post! It all started two weeks ago (has it REALLY been two weeks?) when I left for my very first time in Ohio ever with the American Dairy Association on the Ohio Dairy Adventure! Y'all, let's start off with this: I was blown away by this trip. 100%, in every way, loved the ... continue reading...
10 Coffee Creamer Hacks for the Holidays
I'm usually the girl who loves pinning life hacks on Pinterest but never actually follows through - why is this? Am I alone? Because Lord knows this stuff would probably actually work and save me time/energy/money/space. Sometimes the follow-through is hard to do though. HOWEVER. I actually do use these sweet little coffee creamer hacks in real life and y'all? They work. It's easy. You don't have to have anything around but your favorite International Delight creamer, which is ... continue reading...
Random Thoughts
Currently I'm at the Allume Conference with Great Day Farms and am having a blast. Y'all, did you know that Greenville, South Carolina is absolutely ADORABLE and probably the most charming place I've been in a while? Seriously, such a gorgeous downtown, the cutest shops, and super kind people. A couple of my favorite places I visited yesterday: Coffee Underground, Falls Park, Chocolate Moose Bakery (cookies & cream cupcake - YES), Charleston Cooks! (I got a marble salt dish & a marble ... continue reading...
The Old Mill in North Little Rock
One of my first memories of spending time in Little Rock was over 9 years ago, before we were even engaged to be married. It was my first time meeting Nate's extended family AND my first time being in Arkansas at all. I had no idea what to expect, but found myself loving every moment of that trip. Back then we took a trip to the Old Mill to see the historic spot, but also to have some pictures taken outside of it. Having never seen Gone with the Wind (I KNOW, I'm practically un-American) ... continue reading...
Inspired Week
Honest talk y'all: I'm a little overwhelmed. I just got back from a truly amazing trip, have my incredible parents in town, and will shortly be leaving on another trip next week. I am ending one job and taking on another (much better) one. Oh, and I'm pregnant with wavering nausea and major cravings. It's not the most busy or crazy life has been, but I'm tired. So I've taken a few weeks off of creating new recipes for this blog because, well, life comes first. But I always want to have great ... continue reading...
16 Weeks
HOW FAR ALONG ARE YOU? 16 weeks and 1 day! GENERALLY FEELING: Just in the past 3 days I've started to feel normalish. When my blood sugar gets low it gets ugly, but it's been so nice to enjoy real food again! SHOWING? You bet! Although admittedly if I'm slouching (which is a lot lately) my belly looks much bigger. Note to self: stand up straight! CRAVINGS? CHEESECAKE. And margaritas, although of course I haven't given into that one. But cheesecake always ... continue reading...
A (short) Monday To-Do List
(SOURCE) Today I'm traveling to Cleveland (woohoo! First time in Ohio!) for a really fun trip with the American Dairy Association. I'll be honest, this weekend I hardly touched the internet and I didn't kill myself to get posts in line for the week. BUT I do have some fun pictures to share with y'all soon and would love if you follow along on my fun trip on Facebook, Twitter, and most definitely Instagram! Oh, and to do today? Love one another. The end. Much love, Heather ... continue reading...
DIY Fall Burlap Wreath
WHOA. I did a DIY. I actually kind of made one up - WHO AM I?! But do y'all want to know a secret? I actually tried to do several other different "easy" versions of a burlap wreath I found on Pinterest before I gave up and called my mom. Yes, I called my mom. Because I don't do things like DIY burlap wreaths all on my very own, and my mom knows how to do basically anything and everything. Someday I hope to be like her! So here's the deal you guys: I am not a DIY blogger ... continue reading...

This quote from Clementine Daily. Amen. My sweet friend Stephanie wrote an amazing post about embracing her amazing. Love this girl more than words! Earlier this week I posted this on Instagram - something I've felt for a long time and was really scared to share. And then my sweet friend Amanda sent me this link and I was so thankful for like-minded women! Andie's words are always spot-on. Love this post about taking up space & acting ... continue reading...
15 Weeks
HOW FAR ALONG ARE YOU? 15 weeks and 1 day! The baby is roughly the size of an apple :) GENERALLY FEELING: Definitely more energy and I'm starting to find some relief occasionally from the nausea, but nights are still hard. The nausea sets in right after dinner, right before we put Wes down, and lasts basically until I go to bed. SHOWING? Yep! Not a ton, but enough to need some maternity clothes and make people wonder if there's something going on. So, you know, ... continue reading...
Sunday Slow Cooker Chili
This recipe was originally created for the Arkansas Farm Bureau. Fall is by far my favorite season for many reasons. It always reminds me of back-to-school time with new backpacks, pens and fresh reams of paper just waiting with possibility. But then it’s also a time when cooler weather, crisp mornings, steaming mugs of coffee and park days playing in the leaves prevail. Around our house, as I believe is the case in the majority of Arkansas homes, fall also signals the return of football ... continue reading...

My sweet friend Beth has a SUPER amazing series on her blog about Evernote. I have yet to become an Evernote ninja, but I love the idea of something that can house all the things! Here's the series: An Evernote Primer, Adopting the Ways of the Cult and Enabling Super Ninja Powers. I thought this post on why Steve Jobs didn't let his kids use iPads was really interesting. Not in a judging way, but definitely some food for thought. We let Wes play with our phones (educational games ... continue reading...
