HOW FAR ALONG ARE YOU? 16 weeks and 1 day!
GENERALLY FEELING: Just in the past 3 days I’ve started to feel normalish. When my blood sugar gets low it gets ugly, but it’s been so nice to enjoy real food again!
SHOWING? You bet! Although admittedly if I’m slouching (which is a lot lately) my belly looks much bigger. Note to self: stand up straight!
CRAVINGS? CHEESECAKE. And margaritas, although of course I haven’t given into that one. But cheesecake always sounds amazing – I dream of massive slices of the good stuff from Cheesecake Factory, then settle for Greek yogurt instead.
WEIGHT GAIN: Still not tracking it, although I did go down a size. I honestly think it’s because I haven’t been lifting weights the way I was prior to pregnancy.
FEARS: The idea of two kiddos is starting to get a little overwhelming at times, simply because it’s a new concept for me. Women have been doing it forever though, so I think it’s possible I can figure it out too. But it’s still scary at times!
LOOKING FORWARD TO: Baby smell. I can’t wait to sniff his or her little baby head – pure heaven! Plus we get to hear the little one tomorrow – yay!
WHAT I’VE BEEN LOVING: Showing has been nice this week; I haven’t felt as puffy and just BIG, but rather I just feel like I look pregnant. It sounds so vain (because it is) but I love that I don’t have to prove that I am or am not pregnant!
SLEEP: OK. So to combat sickness I had been taking a combination of Unisom and Vitamin B6 (ask your doctor!) so my pregnancy insomnia wasn’t AS bad as it actually is. Now I’m not taking that anymore and it’s so hard for me to fall asleep! I’m working on cutting out screen time prior to bed and all that jazz, so hopefully I can get my sleep back on track.
MATERNITY CLOTHES: Same as last week – I rock the workout shorts and T-shirts most of the time, although my newest favorite thing is the simple Gap maternity T-shirt. I’ll be investing in a few more of those for sure!
