Foolproof flower crowns y'all! While I never thought of myself as a flower crown kind of gal I admittedly geeked out a little about finally getting to make one. They always look so complicated...but guess what? Even DIY-phobic people like me can do it too! I've been a little absent from the blog this week because I was at an incredible event I'll be talking about next week, but it also feels so good to be home. There are a million takeaways from the past two days at Moss Mountain Farm that I'm ... continue reading...

[photo via, and I dare you not to fall in love with this blog!] FRIDAY, YOU ARE WELCOME HERE. Man, y'all, I don't know what the deal is but I have been exhausted this week. Some of it has been going to sleep late-ish, some of it has been waking up early-ish, but the rest? No idea. Mama needs a nap...or 5. What all are y'all doing this weekend? I think it's supposed to rain most of the time here, so perhaps we'll do some cleaning? Or some running around in the rain? Or ... continue reading...
Summer’s First 5 Activities
Today is my boy's last day of preschool. And I don't just mean for the summer. I mean F-O-R-E-V-E-R. The emotion of it all hasn't set in just yet, although I'm sure this weekend you can find me with mascara haphazardly running down my face from the tears. I can't believe he's almost a Kindergartener - I just can't! My goal this summer is to really soak up the free time with my boys as much as possible, because once the school year hits it's going to be ... continue reading...
Taking the Long Way Around
I don't know when it started, but over the past few years I've been craving a slower life. One that isn't run by the get-there-first culture I've grown accustomed to with the onslaught of working on social media, but one that is motivated by love, humility, and a whole lot of Jesus. The other day I was scrolling through my various social media feeds, and within minutes I had at least three different ads and/or friends who were selling things that would be a quick fix. Lose weight in ... continue reading...
An Updated 9×13 Dinner
My dinner up there? Half-eaten. Basically one of the most taboo food blogging things ever, committed by yours truly, but in the name of good food (and healthy food...fast) I just couldn't not tell you guys about this dinner. For starters, here's the OG 9x13 dinner recipe. Just so you have that one in your back pocket too. Here's what we're going to do, though: we're going to swap out one ingredient and make it easy and super accessible for just about anyone. We're going ... continue reading...

WELL HELLO COFFEE. AND WELCOME, FRIDAY! Here's a rundown of our week: baby and husband get sick on the same night. I freak out. Big kid has school every day because he has a graduation ceremony on Thursday night. I'm overwhelmed. I have several big work projects going on simultaneously (the only way they ever happen I'm afraid). I freak out some more. Mama needs Friday and a glass of wine real bad, y'all. But here we are, and I'm so glad that glass is ... continue reading...
Don’t Miss This Opportunity
A little over 8 years ago I started a blog. A little over 7 years ago I decided to make it a little more serious by buying a domain name and setting a big goal: to work from home as a blogger. A little over 5 years ago that goal became a reality, a combination of 2 years of nonstop work and grit + the addition of our firstborn. A little over 2 years ago we welcomed our second son, and the dream that I had worked on for so long left me wanting. Wanting for more income. Wanting for more time ... continue reading...
Roasted Mediterranean Green Bean “Fries”
For those of you who have kiddos in public school you know this time of year all too well: BUSY with a capital 'B'. I remember the days I used to scoff at blogs lamenting the end-of-school-year-crazy. As an ex-student I don't remember it being that bad; what on earth could these parents be so upset about? And yet now? As my precious baby edges up to the end of preschool? I get it. Birthday parties, graduations, new school meetings, projects, teacher gifts, performances, ... continue reading...

[[VIA]] Is it just me or did this week FLY by? After being out of town last weekend and plunging back into the week it was all I could do to stay afloat, but it ended up making it all go by so much quicker! The beginning of the month is always a crazy time for me with blogging and Beautycounter, so the extra chaos was just icing on the cake :) Also, after what feels like weeks of rain we finally have a clear weekend with GORGEOUS weather in the forecast - I'm beyond excited! I'm ... continue reading...
Granola-Stuffed Orange-Scented Dark Chocolate Truffles
THIS POST IS SPONSORED BY FLORIDA ORANGE JUICE; ALL OPINIONS ARE MY OWN. It's funny, I think about this every Christmas (um, hello, it's May - I know) but does anyone remember those oranges that were covered in chocolate? I honestly never tried one because growing up I just couldn't wrap my head around the citrus-chocolate combination, but I was always so intrigued by those oranges. Were they real oranges covered in chocolate? Orange-flavored candy covered in chocolate? Just wedges of ... continue reading...
Homemade Turkey Sausage Cheese Balls
This post is sponsored by Honest Turkey by Honeysuckle White; all opinions are my own. In case you haven't heard, Mother's Day is coming up and guys? If you've been looking for a way to up your celebration game, this is IT. Let's do a quick show of hands here - who has heard of/tried/made sausage balls before? They are delicious in every sense of the word, an unlikely combination of breakfast sausage (usually pork), baking mix, and a silly amount of cheese. Just looking at that ... continue reading...
A New Thing!
To say the past month has been difficult at times would be an incredible understatement. Filled with sickness, travel, and the standard self-doubt I've certainly had my fill of frustration. I also happen to be a pretty emotional eater, and so making better choices food-wise hasn't really made its way up to the forefront of my mind. Chocolate, fried food, a lot of sugar and fat - it all made its way to my plate and I wasn't exactly mad about it. Here's the thing: I've been doing a ... continue reading...
