To say the past month has been difficult at times would be an incredible understatement. Filled with sickness, travel, and the standard self-doubt I’ve certainly had my fill of frustration. I also happen to be a pretty emotional eater, and so making better choices food-wise hasn’t really made its way up to the forefront of my mind. Chocolate, fried food, a lot of sugar and fat – it all made its way to my plate and I wasn’t exactly mad about it.
Here’s the thing: I’ve been doing a great workout program that has given me some pretty terrific results despite my terrible (of late) eating habits. While my goals are still to lose weight and tone up a bit it has become about so much more about just feeling healthy. Seeing how bad I was eating got me thinking: what if I actually ate the way I should eat (to be healthier and stronger)? What would my results look and feel like then?
After this past weekend of being out of town and making some iffy food choices I figured there’s no time like the present to just go ahead and start eating better. SO for the month of May I’m going to commit to eating super clean 95% of the time – because let’s be honest, real life happens and sometimes I don’t make perfect choices.
