It seems like overnight our little man has developed SUCH a personality! He's such a sweet little boy, full of smiles and giggles and snuggles, but he's certainly not shy with letting us know when/if he's unhappy in any way. Is that a second child thing? Like you have to be very outspoken to get a work in edgewise? I wouldn't know since I'm a first child and I don't remember how my sister was when she was a baby! Friday was our 2-month well check appointment and everything went ... continue reading...

This week y'all? Was kind of a doozy for me. A few weeks ago Wes had a 24-hour thing that was rough, then last week I had a sinus infection/allergy situation, and this week Austin has had something similar. Sick babies are the saddest thing ever, and while I soaked up the sweet snuggles I couldn't help but just feel so sorry for my poor little man. This weekend, pending the reaction to Austin's first immunizations, we're likely going to hit up the pool and I may just take advantage of my ... continue reading...
Chili Grilled Chicken with Mango Avocado Salsa
This is another little meal that was actually a dinner we ate that I shared on Instagram and then got an overwhelming response to share the recipe! (The first one was this yummy portobello pizza number). The funny thing is that our dinners have been so crazy simple lately that I hardly even think to do recipe posts based on them. This particular supper was created out of chicken breasts, an avocado that was going to turn, some frozen mango and spices. It worked so well ... continue reading...
Oatmeal Cookie Pie Crust
HELLOOOOOOOOOOO summer! Well, sort of. I know it's technically still spring, but based on the sweat factor in the Disarro house we're going to go ahead and call this summer. Plus it's June and school's out = summer. So there. But really y'all, I'm not a fan of the constant sweat and heat and red face but I am SO AMPED about the summer this year! Last year I was pregnant and feeling like junk with the never-ending morning sickness, but this year? This year's where it's at. I'm still ... continue reading...
10 Weeks: Super Chunk
Well friends, here we are in the double digits! I say it every week, but I really can't believe how quickly it's all gone. It truly does feel like just a few days ago I was going into labor and so unsure of how it was going to go. Now Austin is 10 weeks old, Wes is done with school for the summer, and I'm still trying to figure out how in the world I was trusted with two such great kids! Austin is now out of size 1 diapers and my brain is exploding. I say that...I'm still putting a ... continue reading...

Dear friends! It's Friday! I must admit I'm a big fan of the long weekend that ultimately means two shorter weeks for us. Even when it throws my schedule out of whack I still wish we had more long weekends to enjoy! I've started really enjoying curated blog posts from some of my favorite bloggers, and thought that sharing some of my own personal favorites would be a fun little thing to do. This weekend we're going to work and play hard, and I can't wait to see y'all back on Monday! ... continue reading...
Roasted Beet and Strawberry Smoothie
Bears. Beets. Battlestar Galactica. Amen? So who's terrified of beets? Or who doesn't love them? Or who thinks I'm a little off my rocker for making a smoothie with beets in there? Trust me, it's crazy delicious not to mention the most beautiful shade of pink-y red. And because there's a veggie in there then you basically win at life, amen? Want the recipe? Head on over to the Arkansas Farm Bureau and snatch it up...and enjoy! ... continue reading...
9 Weeks: Little Charmer
Our little man is now 9 weeks old and officially a few days over 2 months old, and I can hardly believe it. The other day I asked Nate if it was weird that we now have two kids because for me? It's both. It feels like we've been Mommy and Daddy to these two for forever because we can't imagine life without them, but I still feel like a child myself most of the time. It's still a shock that I'm "allowed" to have kids! Austin has been so much fun this week as his little ... continue reading...
Mediterranean Egg-in-a-Hole
Happy Friday friends! Y'all, I'm so excited to share this lovely little gem with you today. It's super easy, healthy, colorful and fun. Basically perfect for a light lunch, a large snack, or even a great dinner option (at which point it could be a side or the main show)! Just think: toasty bread, a tender egg white and perfect runny yolk, smothered in babaganouj, and topped with lots of crunchy veggies and salty feta cheese. Have mercy y'all. Get the recipe here and ... continue reading...
Portobello Pizzas
The other night I posted on Instagram a super simple dinner that y'all went wild for! In a matter of hours I had emails and requests for the recipe, which is awesome because it's definitely one I wasn't thinking of posting. Luckily I had leftovers (!!!) I could photograph so that I could share! As a quick backstory we are in the process of healthifying (totally a word) our life a little more now that we're coming out of the initial shell shock of having a new baby in the house. My ... continue reading...
8 Weeks: Full-On Baby
Ugh, these cheeks. You guys, these cheeks get munched on all the livelong day because they are simply irresistible. This little chunk of love gets cuter and chunkier every single day, and at 8 weeks in that means he's a whole lot of cute! Last night he was so happy just kicking around in his diaper before bed that I just carried him around without any clothes on and I was so delighted to see his little rubberband wrists and chins for days! Chubby babies are the best, and while I ... continue reading...
Vegan Raspberry Coconut Ice Cream
I remember making ice cream when I was a kid. We had this electric ice cream maker (thank goodness it wasn't the hand-crank one!) and we had to get tons of ice and rock salt from the store, and while the ice cream was INCREDIBLE, I now understand why I can count the times we actually had homemade ice cream in our house on one hand. It still stands out in my memory as the best ice cream in the world, but man alive was it hard to make! Last year Nate gifted me with an ice cream maker ... continue reading...
