Kauai: Day 3 – Waimea Canyon & Na Pali Coast

So glad you guys liked the kayaking photos!  Granted there aren’t any action shots (or videos!!!) but the scenery was perfection.

I’d be lying if I said I haven’t been randomly checking out my own blog all day and reminiscing about the trip…but that’s neither here nor there.

You see, the second half of the day we spent exploring Waimea Canyon and overlooking the Na Pali coast!

P.S. I know I promised shots of my worst fashion day ever, but I just couldn’t bring myself to do a full-body shot.  BUT, if you can imagine, I was wearing a coral-colored bathing suit, green tank top, red soccer shorts, gray sandals, and completed my outfit with a bright blue rain jacket.

All I’m saying is if you got it, flaunt it.  Amen.

Anyway, the canyon and the coast were incredible…much like the rest of the trip there really aren’t words to describe the beauty or the fun.  When I finally got to the top and saw this view my breath was gone and I felt like I was living in a dream.  I’m serious when I say this is what heaven will look like:

Once it started raining again we made our way back to the car and drove back to the hotel, only to see this amazing rainbow the whole way back.

Not to be a total brat, but why do I live in Denver again?

Mahalo y’all!

Ok, so I know Hawaii is nothing like Florida, but I think we all think “the grass is greeener on the other side”. You live in CO cuz’ it doesn’t rain everyday and you have gorgeous views of the mountains and a change of seasons. Hawaii reminds me of FL in that it rains everyday and until you live there…you really appreciate the “no rain” states and doing outside activities that don’t get interrupted or cut short because of it. 🙂 That’s all I’m sayin’. Don’t get me wrong…this is exactly what vacations are for!

I just thought you would like to know that it snowed yesterday here in Denver and the high today was in the 40s. 🙂

Your pictures make it all a little more bearable–especially the rainbow!
