We're There!

Hey guys!  Anyone remember in Dumb & Dumber when they get to Aspen and say, “We’re there!!!”?  It’s a little one, but it’s probably one of my favorite lines 🙂

Thanks so much for all of y’alls encouraging comments earlier 🙂  It’s been a little bit of a better day nutritionally than yesterday.  Note that I said “little.”

We split this egg/sausage stromboli for breakfast.  I didn’t have time to do oatmeal, and we didn’t really have anything else at home.  SOOO at the airport we did this instead of standing in the Einstein bagel line.

I ADORE Sudoku on the plane!

When we landed in our mystery city, I automatically knew I’d be craving sandwiches from this place:

I ordered the Skinny turkey sandwich with provolone instead of swiss…

With everything but oil & mayo…HOLY YUM!

The hot peppers totally make this sandwich…I need to find a good brand of pickled peppers (or a recipe to make my own) for sandwiches.  Anyone have a good pickled hot pepper brand or recipe?

There was a Kroger close by, and we were craving ice cream, so we stopped in awe at the beautiful sight below:

Where we live there is NO BLUE BELL ICE CREAM!  Their homemade vanilla is to.die.for.  The only place in Colorado that sells it that I know of is in Estes Park, which makes the access pretty limited.  I had about 1/8-1/4 cup of this stuff and threw it in the freezer so I wouldn’t eat it all.

And now, I present to you:  MY ARCH NEMESIS:  SKITTLES.  I can’t stop eating these, and where we’re staying there is an abundance of them.  I’ve been pretty good so far (only had around 10 of them), so I’ll probably just limit the number of trips by this bowl 🙂

We’ve got some fun (top-secret) plans tonight, so I’ll be back and at ’em tomorrow morning!

What’s your favorite pickled veggie? I adore pickles, but I’ve had pickled green beans and pickled garlic before that I LURVE!!!
