Ridiculous

Last night I did something ridiculous…and I’m kicking myself for not doing it before.  It all started with this recipe (AMAZING) and I just did my part to amp it up a little bit more.  Here’s a series of photos; enJOY!

Kneading is so calming!

Uh-oh…

That’s right!

Yep, you guessed it…I took the Pioneer Woman’s cinnamon roll recipe and rolled bacon all up in it.  And I baked it off, added a sugary glaze, and devoured it.

Ridiculous?  Maybe.  Glorious?  Absolutely.

Just a couple quick notes:  I used already cooked bacon…you can cook your own, but I wanted to get these in my mouth as soon as possible with as little mess as possible.  Also, I decreased the amount of butter and sugar in the middle of the rolls and added a little maple syrup.  I’ve found with this recipe that there’s a lot to be rolled up anyway, and I wanted to make sure every ounce stayed in the roll!

Now go make them.

Hey, it’s the weekend after all!  Why not celebrate with a few extra carbs and bacon slices?  Sounds like a party to me!

FIN.

Those look absolutely amazing. Bacon+carbs+sugar = I can’t think of anything else I could possibly want. Unless you can figure out a way to add chocolate to them, too. 😉

Oh. My. Goodness. That sounds really good…

We use that already-cooked bacon in our house, too. I don’t like it as much as regular bacon (is that even the right technical term? Haha!) but it works!
