Hi there 🙂
My lunch today was the picture of health:
French fries with ranch and…wait for it….
Chicken wings!!! These were leftover from dinner last night and Steph offered them to us for free. I mean, who are we to turn down free food?! 🙂
Also, today is Keira’s 1 year birthday!!!
My little baby girl is growing up so fast! We’re about to go get her a new collar or something special to celebrate 🙂 When we first adopted Keira from the Boulder Humane Society she was “diagnosed” with major fear issues. She was seriously afraid of EVERYTHING! For two weeks she peed and pooped on the floor repeatedly, hid from us if we moved too quickly, and stayed as far away from Bunker as possible. After two weeks I was worried that we’d made the wrong decision bringing her home, and although I would never EVER return a shelter animal unless it was a danger to our health, I just wondered if we’d made the right choice. Then one day, about 2.5 weeks later, she fell in love with Bunker and her entire demeanor completely changed. She just blossomed into the sweetest, cuddliest, wonderful puppy overnight! Now there’s no way I could imagine our little family without her 🙂
In honor of Keira’s birthday, I want to know about nicknames. Nicknames for your pets, you, your significant other, etc! We’ll start with the easy ones: Nate usually calls me Scooter and I call him Wido (pronounce Wee-dough) (don’t ask why) (really, don’t, because I don’t really know why) 🙂 And now, for the dogs:
- Bunks, Bunkster, Bunky-Boy
- Buddy Bear, Baby Bear
- Bunker Wunker
- Puppy-duppy (yes, I’m serious)
- Boots, Booter, Booter-B
- Jamba, Jamba-Juicer
- Keira Belle
- Keeter, Keeter Beeter, Keeter Belle
- Shnookies, Shnookie-Bear
- Baby Girl
Our kids don’t stand a chance!
