Morning y’all! Let’s start off with a photo of the Friday treats I made for my office. BEHOLD: dark/white chocolate chip cookie bars with store-bought chocolate chip icing!
Nate was upset he wasn’t going to be in the office today since it’s his day at SIA, so he took a massive chunk out first thing. You know, just in case he starves to death later 🙂 I used an online recipe (sorry, I can’t remember which one!!!) to make these bars from a cake mix, and used store-bought icing. I truly truly wanted to use Jessica’s recipe for Chocolate Chewies, but alas I was lazy/wanted to cuddle with Nate on the couch, so I threw these together instead! I’m hoping to make the cookies tomorrow to take to church on Sunday 🙂
Breakfast was another chocolate 3-minute breakfast cookie. These are seriously great…I thought I was getting tired of them, but I’m not! This morning’s was no exception either:
I’m back in the office today, which is cool but not super fun. I didn’t think I’d really enjoy SIA yesterday (I can be sort of anti-social sometimes), but I had a great time and wouldn’t mind going back. It was a great experience!
Now, on to my extremely unimportant (potential) decision that I need some input on. I have my nose pierced, as shown below in this super-nerdy picture:
And I really like it. However, I’ve also wanted a tattoo for a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG time, and I finally decided after seeing photos of Meghann’s snowflake or Jenna’s cool-looking one that I really like the foot tattoo. It seems ideal because it’s there if you want to show it, and if you don’t then you can cover it up. I’m not sure what I would get just yet, but I was wondering: should I ditch the nose stud and get a foot tattoo instead? What are your thoughts on tattoos? Any advice would be much appreciated!
I hope you all have a fabulous Friday, and I can’t wait to read what y’all are all up to! I missed seeing everyone’s blogs yesterday 🙂

Fabulous-looking cookie bar things! I love store-bought chocolate frosting.
I like your nose stud – my sister had the same one. I’m not a big tattoo fan, but I think the foot would be a good place to put one.

Oh those cookie bars look delicious!

I don’t think you have to ditch one and not the other. I have 3 very small, very hidden tattoos and I have to say that I actually regret them. I really like them, but I regret them 🙁

The decision to get a tattoo is totally up to you. I have one on my foot that I got about 3 yrs ago and I still love it. I had been wanting one for a couple years when I finally got it. If you decide to get one, make sure it’s of something you can picture yourself with when you’re 80 yrs old, b/c they’re there forever! And if you decide on the foot for the location, be warned that it’s a tender area! Don’t be afraid to speak up if the artist isn’t capturing exactly what you want when designing the tattoo, either. Like I said, it’s your decision, your body, and you’re the one who knows what’s best for you. Good luck with whatever you choose!
P.S. Tattoo or not the piercing is cute and I’d keep it!

Do you have to ditch the nose ring to get the tattoo? I think tattoo’s are rad and as long as you’ve put a lot of thought and processing into the decision you’ll be ok. The foot is a questionable as far as placement. The skin on the hands and feet are different then the rest of your body, and typically are not the best places for tattoos. Not b/c of the look, but It’s been said that the rubbing and pressure of your shoes on the tattoo can cause the tattoo to wear quicker. You should definitely shop around and talk to several different artists. There are quite a few artists in Boulder/Denver that come highly recommended.

Heather,
I got a tattoo on my foot in August and I love it!! I say go for it. I got three joined hearts- the biggest a pink one for Scott, second biggest light blue for Jackson and the smallest light purple for Leah. I like it and their are plenty of shoes to cover it. Good luck!

I don’t see the problem with getting little tattoos that are easily hidden–I have one that really nobody can see unless I want them too! So if u know you won’t regret your decision then I would go for it!
Mmm and the cookie bars look aaaamazing!

heather, you have such a beautiful body, why would you want to put anything on it that mother nature hasn’t already given you. I vote for all Natural”. Your natural beauty outshines anything
you could possible add to it.

Those bars look so good! Totally worth skipping the chewies for!

Leave in the nose piercing and get the tattoo!! lol you should know thats what I would’ve voted on BOTH!
Bettie says
Why not have both?? The nose ring is super adorable– and if you get a tatt on your foot I’m sure it won’t clash with your nose. 😉 I have quite a few tatts, but no nose ring (sadly). I’m a teacher and they won’t let us have any facial piercings.
But- as for the tatt- I say GO FOR IT! If your getting it on your foot, it will be so easy to hide or show off as you wish. There’s no reason to take out your little stud.

I don’t have any tattoos, but I’ve always thought that if I could think up something that I could live with the rest of my life I would definitely go for it! My thoughts is if it was something that you could easily hide if you wanted to, go for that AND keep the nose stud!
