Here’s the deal y’all: we’re in Texas. T to the E to the X to the A to the S.
And we drove here with our 2 1/2 month old. Crazy? Probably. It’s only something I worried about for, you know, WEEKS and tried to think through every possible scenario in which Wes could freak out. And the solutions? Well, besides my boobs our only saving grace has been physically holding a pacifier in his mouth. Homeslice is stubborn!
The one thing that I didn’t worry about though was what Nate and I were going to eat. You guys remember when I declared successfully making homemade crack on Twitter a little while back? It’s true, I totally said that AND I meant it.
Homemade crack at your fingertips and it’s not actually drugs. Double score.
I also finally made my own chewy granola bars – something that, although I never mentioned it previously, I’ve been wanting to do for a loooooooooong time. They’re chewy, soft, crunchy and chocolatey, just like any good granola bar should be. So even though Wes has had a hard time adjusting to life on the road (more to come on that later) Nate and I have been eating like champs. HALLELUJAH!
Ah! Goldfish crackers are my favorite. Yes, I’m almost 30.
But these are slightly more grown up with the spices and almonds, right? 🙂
That’s it. I need to plan a road trip–for the snacks alone!
Great recipes for kids and adults!! Glad you made it safely, it’s definitely an adventure traveling with an infant 🙂
My husband’s family is in Texas, but with a 3 day drive from Georgia to get there we don’t go very often! With three kids, awesome snacks are a MUST. Hope you guys have an awesome trip!
I can’t wait to try the granola bars! Quick and easy works for me!
