Leilani’s

When we went to Maui on our honeymoon we stayed in Ka’anapali at the Westin and ate at Leilani’s (virtually right next door) about 3 times – and every.single.time we ordered a Mai Tai, fish tacos, and Hula pie.

This time when we went to Maui we didn’t stay at the Westin, but we knew that we HAD to eat at Leilani’s.  Bet you can’t guess what we got though 😉

OK OK fine, we got the same thing.  So what?  If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!

Shown below are some of the best nachos I’ve ever had in my life, featuring shredded kalua pig and a spicy cream sauce.  To die for.

Nate actually branched out and got the fish and chips:

But I stuck with the best thing on the menu:  the Ono fish tacos.  They are heaven.

That is til you try the Hula pie!  Chocolate cookie crust, macadamia nut ice cream, ganache topping, and sprinkled with more macadamia nuts.

It was everything we’d dreamed it would be!

If you go to Maui/the next time you’re there, make sure you stop by Leilani’s on the beach…and order a Mai Tai, fish tacos, and Hula pie for me!

Last summer we also honeymooned in the exact same place! Loved the Westin and Maui, but never tried this restaurant and I am so sad now seeing these pictures. The food looks amazing. We will definitely be making a stop here on our next trip. 🙂

My husband and I got married at the Westin and ate many meals at Leilani’s and loved, loved, loved them all – Hula pie = yum!. PWe celebrate our 7th anniversary next month and I’d love to go back soon.

Yes! Yes! Yes! I went to Maui with a group of friends in January and we ate here for lunch one day. I must attest the fish tacos were delicious. We also fell in love with the fish tacos from a little bar type establishment close to where we stayed in Kihei called Diamonds. We ate fish tacos everyday for a week straight. Also Mama’s Fish House is a must visit – pricey but definitely worth it! I can’t wait to go back! Oh and I always order the same dish, like you said if it ain’t broke…

Leilani’s looks like an awesome restaurant. I’m usually not keen on ordering the same dish (my hubbie does it all the time, though) but if the fish tacos are THAT good, then I can see why! I heart fish tacos. 🙂

Agreed! If I love something at a restaurant I will order it over and over. I like knowing I’ll leave a place happy. 🙂
