I’ve been thinking a lot about New Year’s resolutions lately; what a novel idea, right? The older I get the more my resolutions evolve from the typical “lose weight” to “eat healthier” to “take care of yourself.”
I’ve been a fan of Andie’s blog from the beginning; her honest, beautiful writing hooked me immediately, and her recipes are top-notch. When she announced a book deal I cheered her on silently from behind my computer screen, and then followed her writing journey intently. I cried as I watched her Tedx Talk about a billion times. As my world continues to change and the need to cut out reading blogs makes itself more obvious, hers is one that I refuse to stop reading. Y’all, it’s that good.
So when I say that her book is equally as good but in a sweet little hardcover number you have to know that I mean it. You’re invited into Andie’s world, the beautiful and the ugly, and she honestly shares thoughts and emotions that I too have felt but have been too chicken to ever say out loud. This is a story of true triumph in physical and emotional ways that I have yet to find sometimes.
If you’re looking for a book that will uplift, encourage and full-on make you cry tears for all the emotions (and has a killer chocolate cake recipe to boot), this is it. Andie, your book is incredible, although I’m not at all surprised, and I’m so thankful for your sweet heart and gifted writing! And one day when we meet we can give one another tall-girl hugs!
