This past week, dh and I went on vacation at the beach and we rented bikes while we were there and OH.MY I need a bike now. I hadn’t ridden a bike in probably 20 years and I loved it so much. It just felt so free and fun and childlike.
must be beautiful to bike where you live! i hear Boulder is one of the healthiest cities in the U.S. (is that true?) lookin forward to reading more of your blog 🙂
It’s because once the undergrads get here, you can get anywhere in town faster on a bike than you can in a car. Besides, how else would you get up Flagstaff? Cars are for wimps!
I love bikes too but my behind and everything in between does not feel the same way. Haha, I’m trying to slowly build up the love for the lower half of my body when it comes to biking though. 😉
I’d believe it, from what I hear about Boulder. (Which, by the way, is on my list of places in America to visit.) It’s so wonderful to be able to bike instead of drive; when I lived in Vermont, I was able to bike to the food coop, to visit friends, and to work. Perfection.
I’ve never been a bike person. I had an experience once when finally trying out an adult bike (I was around 12) and I nearly drove into a busy street on accident. Not too keen on bikes now. haha
I love biking as well, but Boulder is outta control. I’m glad their love for movement and the outdoors is so strong, but some of the laws they pass are….interesting. Besides I have more fun and feel much safer biking in the mountains.

Haha, I don’t think they let you vote in Boulder unless you own three bikes.

Amen to that. I think they hate bikes in Texas…there is not one bike lane worth riding in…ugh…I loved riding when I was in FL.

I wish I owned a bike. I would actually buy one but I’m not brave enough to ride it in NYC with all the crazy cars driving around.
