This past weekend I went glamping (glamorous camping = glamping) with some amazing, lovely girls whom I absolutely adore. Don't worry: even if you did follow along on Instagram, I'm going to be doing a whole post about our experience soon! It was such a fun weekend, full of beauty and laughter and the most ridiculous humidity. I honestly don't think I've ever felt humidity like that in my life, but weekends like this are all about new experiences right? Now since we were glamping we ... continue reading...
TotalProtect Home Warranty + Keep Your Cool Giveaway!
I haven't been super chatty about it on here lately, but if y'all recall we purchased a new home at the end of February. It's amazing, lovely, exactly what we wanted and needed. And with our brand new home came brand-new-to-us appliances with a history and story all their own. Especially when I hear things like there's a 68% chance that one of your crucial appliances and home systems will fail in any year; plumbing systems and air conditioners are the most commonly repaired items; ... continue reading...
Blueberry Vanilla Ice Cream
When I was growing up we would get SO EXCITED when my mom would decide to make homemade vanilla ice cream. At that point in time her homemade vanilla was the ONLY vanilla thing that I liked; a self-professed chocolate freak at that time I thought vanilla was lame-O. But when mom pulled out that old ice cream maker and the rock salt and ice? All bets were off, people, all bets off. To say I love this ice cream would be an understatement y'all. I mean, I'm an ice cream fanatic ... continue reading...
Italian Scotch Eggs in Zucchini Cups
This post was sponsored by Great Day Farms. Y'all. It's Friday. I'm crazy busy getting ready for a CRAZY fun girls' weekend, which you can totally follow along with on Instagram, which means I'm doing about 3 loads of laundry, 2 loads of dishes, and finishing up 3 different blogging projects all before noon. But it's Friday, so no biggie, right?! Have y'all ever heard of Scotch eggs? I'm going to be honest here and let you know that I was terrified to make these. I love ... continue reading...
Inspired Week
One of the coolest things I’ve been seeing in blogging lately is bloggers working to share the love with one another by sharing some of their favorite posts from the week. Since I love that encouragement and am constantly inspired by my amazing “co-workers” my hope is to start sharing some of my favorite posts and sites every Thursday! Y’all enjoy! We sang this song in church last week and the words have been resounding in my heart ever since. The first verse = YES. I ... continue reading...
Deconstructed Chile Relleno Casserole
This is one recipe that I totally made when I was in the laziest mood ever AND I was totally not going to photograph it for the blog. It was just a real-life dinner that got caught up in the maelstrom that is food blogging, you know? But I have a feeling that, like most happy accidents, this little number is going to put a big smile on all of your faces. See, here's the thing: I love a good chile relleno. I like mine extra cheesy, extra large, extra fried - which probably explains ... continue reading...

I promise to give a FULL recap next week, but for now if you want to follow along here are the places to do so: - My Twitter, Facebook, and ... continue reading...
Cacao Crunch Mini Pavlova Cookies
When Nate and I first met I made a very bold statement. I told my then crush (now husband) that a dream job of mine would be to create soundtracks. Not necessarily write music, but to be the person who listens to a bunch of songs and then puts them into movies. I felt like there were so many times that a specific song would be JUST PERFECT for a certain moment in life, and I always seemed to know exactly which song would fit. It was a bold statement, one that I stood behind fully ... continue reading...
Garlicky Sweet Pea Pesto
Yesterday I spent approximately all of the hours shelling peas for this amazing pesto. About halfway through I questioned whether I really needed to make this pesto with peas, and the answer was something like, "Probably not." But then I powered through and shelled the heck out of those bad boys. And y'all? The pesto is SO WORTH IT. Smooth, slightly sweet, a little earthy and a whole lotta garlicky. The way I see it the garlic and the sweet peas share the spotlight, and ... continue reading...

No Sugar Added Banana Bread
Banana bread. I'm not always the fan of bananas in the raw, but if you serve them to me baked in a sugary loaf of goodness I'm all over 'em. Walnuts, topped with raw sugar, slathered with butter kind of love. Y'all know what I mean? It's a good, GOOD thing. But in an attempt to keep our family eating healthier I've stopped buying sugar. I don't think sugar is the devil and I still enjoy eating it, but I figure keeping it out of our cupboards, especially in a season laden with fresh ... continue reading...
How I’ve Fallen in Love with Gardening + Progress
Let me preface this post with this statement: I know nothing about gardening. Like really, not a thing. I attribute my ability to keep plants alive this year to the fact that I read the little tag thingy that came with each particular plant and told me when to plant and how much water they needed. The rest y'all? Dumb luck. Let's backtrack a tad though, shall we? When I was a kid I vowed that I would never ever have a garden. This all stems (HA GET IT? - STEMS?! anyway...) ... continue reading...
