[quote from Grant Cardone]
In my career life I’ve been fortunate enough to work at some pretty cool places with some incredible people, but along the way I couldn’t help but feel like it still wasn’t enough. I loved the regular salary, benefits, and most of all the relationships; however, something always felt off. I never thought of myself as an entrepreneur, but God slowly eased me into it. The past 6 years of running my own businesses has taught me what this exact quote says: I can work to make my dreams and the dreams of my family come true, or I can work to do the same for someone else. You have that same choice too, and as someone who has been on both sides of this coin I would recommend the former every time.
This post isn’t about Beautycounter (specifically anyway), but rather about taking chances on the big dreams you have. Maybe it IS a dream to be working as part of a team in a company that is rocketing forward and changing the world. Maybe it IS a dream to stay home with your kids. Maybe you want to create a startup, start a blog, advance to the next rank of whatever your current career is. Maybe your dream is to inspire, in some way or another, the people around you to be better.
Whatever it is, my prayer for you today is that rather than sitting back and being used as a resource, you define what your dreams are and begin to create an action plan to get there. Be brave and be bold and decide to make the most out whatever your passions and strengths are. Don’t accept the status quo simply because it’s the status quo, but rather be willing to take the road less traveled. I can tell you it is scary and oh so worth it!
So. What is it? That dream that’s bubbling up inside of you, working to get out and create a ruckus in your life? What is that passion that keeps you awake at night and that lights your soul on fire? I would love to hear what it is – leave it in the comments below!
