Checking In

This week I feel like a crazy person, and for no real reason other than just a few client posts being due back-to-back and an(other) impending cold on the books. Oh, and a baby that refuses to sleep.

No biggie, right?

This time change thing is kicking my tail too, which feels weird to say but it’s true. Anyone else? It’s not like I haven’t been through it a million times before, but this year just feels different. After having A in March and just getting used to having two kids, it felt like the summer flew by and I didn’t really take the time to enjoy the long evenings. Then we hit our stride and now are readjusting again. I’ll get used to it, and with the holidays coming up it’ll fly by, but dang if I’m not already wishing the time would change again!

I’m working on reading more lately, and have been reading some really fantastic books. I’m thinking of doing a whole other post dedicated to them too, because I’d love to share that goodness with you guys! What are you reading these days that you love? I’m always open to recommendations!

To my fellow moms – have you heard of Endless Alphabet/Endless Reader? If you haven’t, they’re fantastic apps for kids to learn the alphabet, words, reading, and shape recognition…but now there’s an Endless Spanish one too! Let’s just say I have big hopes for a bilingual household now...

Currently working my way through these TED Talks, although my favorite one of all time (so far anyway) is about homeschooling. Which, by the way, I don’t really feel called to but I’m also super curious about it too. And that talk makes a really strong case for it!

I have to say I really admire this girl for standing up for what she believes in. Cutting the social media cord is hard to do for a weekend, but to give it up completely when you’ve hit the big leagues would be even more so. Good on her!

Two things I’m obsessed with on TV these days: Blindspot (like a female Jason Bourne!!!) and my Fantasy Football team. Both so dramatic, both ridiculously addictive. I heart Monday night TV.

What’s new with you guys?!
