I remember the first time I made something from Christina’s blog: she had basically made my husband’s very dreams come true in raw chocolate chip cookie dough form, and made my waistline’s very dreams come true in that portion control was included. Little did I know that I would literally become OBSESSED with her blog and just her in general!
I’ve shared a billion (and one) times on here that I am a proud Texan (and still super proud of my adoptive state of Arkansas); it’s hard for people to understand that pride in identity unless they too are proud Texans. Christina is also a Texan living in an adoptive state, and we both share that same longing of home at times – which is great because it makes me feel like I’m not totally nuts! Our shared passion of all things Texan and homemade and Southern is pretty fabulous, I must say 🙂
Beyond that, though, Christina is one of those gals who I just KNOW I would be friends with in person. She has a hilarious and real way of writing that has sucked me in, and getting to know her better on all of her social media platforms (listed below) has been absolutely lovely. I obsessively watched as she planned her wedding, and I definitely sat there and prayed on her wedding day that it would all go perfectly. I love the way that these online friendships become so meaningful and lives are touched (the way mine has been) by meeting and getting to know women I never would have otherwise never have the chance to know.
Christina, you’re just so wonderful – thank you for making fabulous treats (and eats now!) that make it so that I only eat 3 of something instead of 30 😉
