The amazing people with the Rogers, AR CVB paid for my entire trip; however, all opinions and recommendations are my own!
Are you guys super impressed with the city of Rogers yet? I know I am! If you haven’t caught the first two recaps, here they are: Part 1, Part 2.
So when we left off we had just visited the War Eagle Mill, had pecan cobbler that I still have dreams about, and had jumped in the car to head over to Beaver Lake. If you’re at all familiar with Arkansas you know that it’s the Natural State, and just a short drive past the state line in any direction and you can see why. It’s absolutely gorgeous! Rolling hills, rivers, streams, trees, green everywhere, and the lakes are amazing. I believe I’ve said it before, but Arkansas has made our transition from the mountains of Colorado to the South very easy – everyone has such an outdoorsy mindset and Arkansans love to play outside!
When we got to Beaver Lake we had a fun tour of Prairie Creek Marina and hopped onto a sailboat for our tour of Beaver Lake with Kerry & Bobbie Jensen of Jensen Boat Works. Y’all, Kerry and Bobbie are such an amazing couple with such a passion for sailing and for sharing their love of the beauty of Arkansas. They gave us such a sweet tour of the area, showed us all of the best spots for sailing on the lake, and just let us sit back and take in the beauty. Earlier in the day it had been pouring rain, but when we got out on the boat it really could not have been more perfect. Warm, partly sunny, and beautiful!
We had such a great tour of Beaver Lake and all I can think is that I can’t wait to go back with Nate and Wes, especially since we can rent boats at the marina and just set sail and play all day!
When we got back to our hotel I relaxed for a bit, showered and then got all gussied up to go to dinner and a show at Rogers Little Theater! Downtown Rogers is such a fun place, and so perfect for a great family trip or girls’ weekend getaway. Everything is close together and easy to get to, and let’s face it: there’s a ton to do. We barely scratched the surface of the shopping and arts and outdoor activities, and all of the things that we DID do we could have all spent hours soaking in more of.
SO…dinner at the Rogers Little Theater was so fun – it was really relaxing to get a chance to sit back and chat and eat without worrying about whether we’d make it in time for the show or not! Once the meal was eaten we were wowed by the actors at the theater in their rendition of The King and I, which is one of my favorites to begin with. I was a little worried about watching a small town theater performance, but it was absolutely beautiful and just as good (if not better!) than the times I’ve seen it in larger cities!
Now the next day, Sunday, I didn’t take any pictures really because it was time to relax – with a pedicure at Spa Botanica, located super conveneniently right at the base of our elevators in the hotel! And while I’m all for seeing pictures of pedicures, it just seemed like the time to just enjoy. My hour there was, in short, divine. So relaxing and peaceful! And my freshly painted toenails and moisturized feet left much happier as well 😉
It was such an amazing weekend, and I am so thankful that I was finally able to get out to Northwest Arkansas and really enjoy my time there! The gals I went with are quickly becoming great friends, and I can’t recommend their blogs enough – Stephanie, Sarabeth, Kyran and Karen are such amazing gals!
Now for a great giveaway, shall we?! One lucky winner will get a FREE NIGHT STAY AT THE EMBASSY SUITES OF NORTHWEST ARKANSAS!!! The descritption of the visit to Beaver Lake makes me want to visit. The marina and the wonderful people from the boats works sound like my kind of people and place. I live near the water on Cape Cod, and I never miss the chance to go boating. I’ll bet Beaver Lake s an awesome day out on a boat.
Thanks for sharing your fun trip.

I would definitely love the chance to just go north and experience Rogers again, haven’t been there in years (prob since college). My anniversary is in October and after 17 years of just going to Little Rock (so we can leave kids with grandparents) or Hot Springs or not going anywhere it’d be nice to go see the fall colors, go to War Eagle Mills and my husband would love to go to Cabella’s. Just being there and eating all the great food and experiencing the fall in Rogers even for the weekend would be such a great anniversary gift.

I think that’s so much of why we like AR so much. You can get to nature so easily. Kind of like going out on the river trails and seeing deer. It’s just special. I’ve actually never been to Rogers, so it’d be cool just to visit the city. But I’d love to go out on the lake!
