Pump It UP!

Don’t forget to check out my giveaway for some amazing Wholesome Foods Bakery bars!!!

Y’all, I am obsessed with ‘Fashion’ by Lady Gaga.  It’s one of those songs that you just can’t ever get out of your head, and so I end up singing it all the time and practically craving it!  I just can’t help it, it pumps me up!

Dinner last night was so fun!  When Salah and Chad got in we showed them around the house and then headed straight over to Via Toscana for happy hour.  SO GOOD —>>>

Salah got a Caesar salad:

And I got the roasted red pepper cream soup (there are no words my friends):

We all split these amazing rolls…Nate wanted to see if we could just pick up a loaf every day on our ride home…

And we all split the spinach artichoke dip:

I also had an eggplant panini with arrabiata:

Oh, and some polenta with pesto cream and gorgonzola:

And Salah got a pizza with mushrooms and artichokes…I had a slice 🙂

And then I finished off the meal with some espresso gelato (be still my heart!):

We went home and watched only the most depressing movie of all time, The Basketball Diaries.  Seriously, if you haven’t seen it, DON’T…unless you want to feel sick to your stomache from the personal pain of the main character!

Breakfast this morning was a bowl of Oikos plain yogurt (scored some sweet coupons from Stoneyfield, which equals another giveaway coming soon!), Dylan’s Chia Granola, 1/2 a banana, some homemade coconut butter, and a sprinkling of chocolate chips:

I had several of you ask, and the Yoplait version is definitely NOT equal to Oikos; however, it is MUCH less expensive and more widely available.  I believe most places the Yoplait is $1 versus the $1.30+ for Oikos.  I would say that Greek yogurt in just about any form > no Greek yogurt at all!

I took the opportunity to slice some ‘naners to freeze for dessert tonight:

And the finished (poorly lit) product:

Such a great bowl of yumminess!!!  I love Greek yogurt…the tart creaminess and all of the bold flavor!  Can’t wait to have more and share that with a lucky blog reader 🙂

I’ve got 2 questions for y’all today!

  1. What’s your favorite St. Patrick’s Day tradition? We don’t necessarily celebrate St. Patty’s Day, but we DO celebrate my dad’s birthday!  HAPPY BIRTHDAY DADDY!  I have the most amazing father…he’s so loving and supportive, funny and smart, and he’s the best husband to my mom and father to me and my sister I could ever EVER ask for.  I love you Daddy!
  2. What song do you love that just pumps you up? I’ll be honest, anything Lady Gaga will usually get me to move my feet!  I have so many of her songs on my workout playlist 🙂  We’re probably going to go hiking today…perhaps I’ll hike to it to?!

have you tried “making” your own greek yoghurt? You can buy regular plain yoghurt and just hang it in a cheese cloth for a few hours to drain out some of the whey.

Well I’m going to be one to completely throw off the curve- I like alot of Jay-Z for some reason when I’m working out. The beats are amazing… also Ke$ha. Jay-Z and Ke$ha. Yep… that’s weird.

I am very out of the loop on this lady gaga thing. They don’t play that in yoga class 😉 and I listen to books in the car. I’m a nerd.
