My Favorite Ornament

JOY.

Because when it comes down to it this is what the season’s all about.  It’s not about the lack of money, the rush to find gifts, the price of gas when you drive crazy distances to see loved ones.

It’s about the JOY of what this season represents, taking JOY in our loved ones and the fact that we get to see them this season, the JOY of cooking things that are truly memorable, and the JOY of the gift of Jesus.

And this is why this is my favorite ornament.  Because since it is placed smack dab in the middle of the tree it’s a constant reminder of why I’m even here at all.  May YOUR holiday season be full of JOY and love!

So pretty! I want to bring more CHRISTmas related ornaments into my holiday decorating. Like a nativity scene and angels and the wise men!

Amen and Amen!! Picture and message is beautiful. You always send us your very best!! Jesus is the very best, and I am joyful and excited to
celebrate his birthday. May he bless you, Nate and all your family during this special holy remembrance of our Lord and Savior’s coming to earth in a lowly manager to reconcile us with God and be the sacrifice that only he could be for
those who will believe him to be the Son of God. Merry Christmas.

Want to know one reason I am a dork? In high school and college I worked at a year-round Christmas gift store. I know the name of the brand of your favorite ornament, and always wanted a set of my own! 🙂 My friend (who also worked there with me) and I would go to people’s houses and comment on their Christmas decor: “oh, you have Fontanini, I love that piece!” etc.

    Dorks, I tell you.

My favorite ornament is a small tiny nativity scene, because for me that is what Christmas is all about.

This is such a great reminder! It’s so easy to get caught up in the craziness of the holidays. But, you’re right… joy is what it’s all about!
