Milkshake for Breakfast

OK, I actually didn’t have this for breakfast.  Or maybe I had a little bit.  Who really knows with me these days?  I like to shake things up a bit, and what better way than consuming a ridiculous beverage in the morning?  I started off inspired by Jessica’s Healthy Frozen Hot Chocolate, but when I didn’t have any of the ingredients (tends to happen when you don’t go to the store for 2 weeks) I gave up and did it the old-fashioned way.

This really isn’t a recipe; it’s a method.  And it’s a desperate attempt at making my throat feel better since lately I’ve been coughing up a storm because of all the stuff going around.  Besides, when it comes down to is there really anything wrong with having a milkshake for breakfast every now and then?  I think not!

Basically it’s a cup of nonfat milk (healthy!!!), 1 cup of vanilla ice cream, and 3-4 Tbsp of hot fudge sauce.  Blend til smooth and you’re done.

And hey, I think we all know it’s not healthy to just drink a liquid for breakfast, so I threw a brownie on top so as to have something solid in me.  Balance, people.  Balance.

Heather, I so hope you are feeling better when you read this comment.
The shake looks great. Did you do the special arrangement of colors of varying shades of brown in the glass. It looks like the types of graphics that are done on culinary art dishes. Maybe it is just me that sees this but check it out if you were not aware of the beautiful design in your shake.

Haha love this. As long as you have nonfat milk in there, it’s definitely considered healthy 😉 Drink up! And feel better soon 🙂

I’d take that any time of day! Milkshakes have always eluded me — I’m not good at getting the flavor right. This looks foolproof, though — thanks!!
