Duke’s Beach House

There are so many incredible restaurants in Hawaii, and the best part is that all of them use as much locally-grown and raised food as possible.  Duke’s was one of those restaurants!

I told you guys I was obsessed with Mai Tais!  So amazing…I love the sweetness from the juice and the sweet bitterness from the rum.  Heaven!

We enjoyed a salad with local arugula, Maui sweet onions, locally raised bacon and beets, and Surfing Goat cheese.  Divine!

Nate ordered fish (and I’m sorry, I can’t remember what kind or how it was prepared):

And I ordered the seafood risotto with tons of scallops, lobster, shrimp, and ono.  Oh, and spinach.  Whatev.  It was decadent and light at the same time…definitely something I’d order again!

We were very happy with Duke’s (and very happy from Mai Tais).  The service was fantastic, friendly, and knowledgeable.  The food was delicious, and in that atmosphere you really can’t help but relax!  It was the perfect end to another perfect Hawaiian day.

Oh my goodness, I’ve eaten there! My inlaws took everyone to Maui two springs ago and we stayed just down the street from Duke’s, at the Honua Kai Resort! I don’t remember what I ate there, but I do remember that it was delicious 🙂
