Last night’s dinner was perfect.
Perfect I tell you.
Pasta with homemade meat sauce (recipe to come…still needs to be perfected), cheesy garlic bread, and chocolate chip cookies. Reminds me of dinner when I was younger (minus the salad – I just didn’t feel like going to the store), sitting with my family around the dinner table, and love.
And that’s why they call it comfort food!

Again, thank you so much for all of your thoughts and prayers. You guys have touched our hearts, and we (and all of our family and friends) thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
Nate and Heather
That is a meal that would make anyone feel better!
Ah yes, comfort food! I will anxiously await your recipe for that meat sauce… I haven’t found one yet that I absolutely love. And hang in there! Good thing you’ve got your sweet husband to walk with you through whatever’s going on.
You 2 are adorable 🙂 I can wait for the recipe! Will be back.
Comfort foods are the best. What a cute picture 🙂
Continued hugs and prayers to you. It’s amazing what a comfort food can be, and how it takes us back to simpler times when our biggest worry was whether Full House was new or a repeat. 🙂
What an adorable picture of you and Nate…a match made! 🙂
I love comfort food. It is unique to you! And love is the perfect ingredient. Nice pic of you and Nate.
Mmm, that dinner sounds fantastic. Looking forward to the meat sauce recipe!
That really is a purely perfect comfort food meal!
I loved those dinner nights at the house 🙂 I love you scissor (and nate 🙂 )….keep staying strong!
ps. LOVE that picture of ya’ll !
The perfect comfort meal. 🙂 I’ve been wistfully dreaming about spaghetti and meat sauce (the way my mom makes it) for months…complete with cheesy bread, of course. Time to bust it out, me thinks.
We’re still praying for y’all! No matter what happens, there are a ton of people who have never met you but have been touched by your joy and love of life and God. 🙂
How simply and wonderfully put, “there are a ton of people who have never met you but have been touched by your joy and love of life and God.”
Thank you, Cecilia. It’s completely true… 🙂 It’s hard not to care about you and Nate, Heather – you’ve shared so much of your beautiful self on here, we can’t help loving you! 🙂
Don’t ever change! I am keeping you in my prayers. I understand when something happens that turns your world upside down. I am so glad I discovered your blog. It puts a smile on my face! Atlanta, GA is far away, but you are close in my heart. Hang in there, take things one day at a time, and don’t forget to laugh!(even when you don’t feel like it)
Love and prayers,
Krysia
P.S. I’m a chocolate chip cookie girl….we would be great friends!!
I love comfort meals like that. 🙂
Spaghetti with meat sauce is one of my favorites. And chocolate chip cookies…..what’s not comforting about those?? 🙂
Any dinner “minus the salad” is surely comfort food to me. 🙂
