I’m a sucker for tea.  That, coupled with yoga and/or a nap are things that just make me sit back and go, “Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah” at the end of a long day!

You can imagine how excited I was to be contacted by Sun Chlorella to try their new Sun Eleuthero Tea!  Here’s how they got started:

“It all began as a single man’s dream – the dream of our founding father, Mr. Hideo Nakayama. Upon experiencing an onslaught of illnesses that left his body battered, he made a fateful discovery that put him on the road to recovery: Chlorella. The rest of his life was dedicated to researching its benefits, and in 1969, he and his wife established HEIAN Chlorella Jeffcy. Co., Ltd. in Kyoto, Japan in hopes that more people will benefit from its use. In the next 10 years that followed, what began as a small supplement business grew into one of the top names of chlorella in Japan’s highly-competitive health food industry.”

I jumped right in and tried the tea tea and the products they sent with it.

The verdict?  Honestly the flavor of the tea just wasn’t for me.  I found it to be like green tea only earthier, and earthy is not one of my favorite flavors when it comes to tea or coffee.  Having said that though they have a ton of other options for healthy living on their site and, since the company has such a great message of hope and tranquility, I definitely have to say that I still stand behind what they do even if I don’t like the particular tea that I tried!

Green can vary greatly, and as you said is a matter of taste. Sounds like an awesome company.

Although I am a diehard coffee drinker, there always will be a place in my heart for tea. Too bad that the flavor wasn’t too good. I’ll definitely click through to check out the others, thoughh!
