Breaking Stuff

I’m so glad you all like the Nutella Stuffed French Toast yesterday.

I kind of want to eat it for the rest of my life.

Forever and ever – AMEN.

What we have here, however, is the untold story.  The story of destruction, tears, and broken glass.

It was innocent enough:  I was reaching into the sugar jar to get some sugar for the custard part of the dish.  As I set the lid down I didn’t line it up correctly with the base and it just SHATTERED.EVERYWHERE.

First came the curse word(s).  Then the disbelief.  Then the tears.  Then the full-blown, total meltdown.  Hey, I’m only 27.  Young at heart 🙂

We had to clean up all the glass, throw out all the sugar, and start over again with powdered sugar instead.

All I have to say is thank goodness it wasn’t the flour!

Ah oh no!! Kitchen spills are the worst, especially when its the sugar. At least it wasn’t a huge jar of Chia or something expense like that. Which has happened to be before.

Whoops. It happens and it was just your turn. On the upside, it probably won’t happen again for a very long time, maybe never. 🙂
