I was contacted the other day about this incredible contest from Dove! The contest asks you to share what in your life is better than ever and submit a “before” photo and a “now” photo in one of the following categories: play, love, live, style; and then explain why your life is better than ever! The great thing is you could win a trip for 2 to Sedona, Arizona to be pampered…AND $1,000 to do something nice for yourself OR someone else! I have a couple of ideas up my sleeve for what I’m going to do… 🙂
Breakfast yesterday was POM wonderful indeed!!!
3/4 cup almond milk- 3/4 cup POM juice
- 1/2 cup frozen blueberries
- 1/2 cup frozen strawberries
Blend it all up and enjoy the sweet-tart love! Honestly the smoothie didn’t hold me over as well as something with oats in it, so I’m thinking of making another one with some oats soaked in the almond milk for a bit. Lunch was a remake of yesterday’s, minus the chicken:
Lettuce + carrots + almonds + bacon + cheese = LOVE 🙂 My workout on the lunch break was INTENSE – really really hot outside, but I was able to push through some of the harder parts (in a good way) to get to a higher intensity 🙂 Good thing is there was a margarita waiting for me only an hour later:
Mmmmmmmm 🙂 We met a bunch of friends at the Rio in Boulder for a little happy hour dinner. Stefanie and I split the margarita, and Nate and I split a chicken quesadilla with guac, sour cream, and pico de gallo. I might be dreaming about it right now…
You know, for some reason I’ve never had a quesadilla from Rio before, but HOLY YUM it was seriously delicious! Not overly cheesy, super-flavorful chicken, and the guac was amazing!
So what do you think about this awesome contest? What’s going on in your life that’s better than ever? Like I said yesterday, my body image is better than ever, but I would definitely say that the way I play is WAY better than ever! I mean, that’s what happens when you move from a huge, flat city to the Rocky Mountains, right?! 🙂

I love DOVE! I think their whole real woman campaign is really wonderful and inspiring. My life is better now because I’ve learned to accept myself for who I am and Love myself!

The contest sounds really neat! It terms of my own life: my life is better now that I’m married <3 and it's also better now with my ten pound weight loss and renewed positive body image. Good things definitely happen all at once in life!

There’s a LOT to think about in my life right now – but I’ve been contacted about some cool opportunities, making me hope that this career of mine is going towards a good place 🙂 Vague, but true.

Oh this is just too funny! A few days ago when you asked where in the US we would like to go on vacation I said somewhere in Arizona to a spa. I think it is a sign…!

Quesadillas are my favorite! It’s always in my list of options when I go out for Mexican or bar food… They get double points if they come with guac and sour cream on the side! 😉
