I feel like every week I start off with, “I don’t remember how I started to follow this blogger…” type comments, and today is no exception. I have been reading Kelley’s blog for over 2 years now, and looking back I just can’t recall how I found her. All I know is that I’m so thankful I did! I also had a dream come true this past week and got to meet Kelley in person in Michigan (more on that to come soon!)! It’s not very often that you get to meet a favorite blogger in person, and I can’t tell you how much I was looking forward to it!
I don’t even know where to begin, other than one of the things I fell in love with first was how awesome Kelley’s life sounds. Now I know no one has THE perfect life and there are always issues, but I love that she lives in the mountains but also travels with her family a lot, I love that she makes healthy and truly delicious food and has an amazing mindset on balance in moderation, I love that she is active and loves being outside (me too me too!), and I love how she loves her family. She always has a way of writing that makes you feel like you’re sitting there with a big mug of coffee and watching the snow fall together while having a great conversation.
Besides having beautiful food photography, what really catches me most with Kelley’s food is the fact that it’s literally ALL stuff that I would and actually do eat. There’s no weird ingredients, there’s no overly intensive technique – it’s simple, healthful, wholesome and good food that you can really enjoy with the people you love. Isn’t that we all really want anyway?
Something I so admire about Kelley is that she really takes the time to enjoy her life. When I know I’m going to be traveling I go into panic mode and try to get a million days ahead and, in doing so, end up being way more stressed going into a trip than I would have if I just winged it. Again, I know we all only show certain aspects of our lives, but I love that Kelley is real and honest, not afraid to say what she thinks, and unapologetic about taking time away from the internet to be with the people she loves.
Kelley, you are amazing, a blessing, and someone I admire so much. Thank you for being you and for making such yummy food – I’ll be coming back for more for now and for always!
