Hello from Lubbock, Texas…my hometown!ย  Yesterday we drove up from the Dallas area, only to be greeted by my amazing family and our traditional New Year’s Eve meal:ย  CHILI!!!

Of course we started with chips:

And guac…I mean really, how could you not?ย  It’s so good ๐Ÿ™‚

The chili was my mom’s recipe with onions, garlic, ground turkey, and 2 types of beans.ย  It was amazing and perfect after a day of traveling!

I’m stoked to spend the rest of the day relaxing and watching college football with my family before heading back to Colorado tomorrow.ย  This has been quite the whirlwind trip, but we’ve been so blessed to see so many of the people we love ๐Ÿ™‚

HAPPY NEW YEAR Y’ALL!!!

Oh my goodness, you are from Lubbock?!?! Me too! I have seen your comments on PW and other blogs and have just now clicked over to see what your blog is about. How fun to find out that we share the same hometown (even though I don’t live there anymore). Hope you enjoyed it!

Sounds like a nice and relaxing recovery day. And now I’m craving guacamole. I’m crossing my fingers I still have some avocados.

Happy New Year and safe travels!
