As a new mom I’m kind of leaning towards foods that are easy and delicious – and if you’ve been reading this blog for any length of time I think you probably know that I’m kind of in love with pizza. Majorly, majorly in love with pizza.
This post isn’t going to have any recipes on it. It’s not going to give you something brand-spanking-new to chew on and think about.
And St. Patrick’s Day recipes? Nopers – sorry!
See, the past week and a half has run together so much so that I just don’t know what to do with myself. I always wondered how being a mom could be so busy when a baby is just that…a baby. What on earth could a baby need that would make it so busy?
I’ll tell you what – food.
That being said, pizza has kind of become our best friend since you can find just about anything to put on the pizza crust and make it delicious. My favorites are pepperoni – duh – and this cheesy zucchini pizza.
Seriously, either one I’ll take in a heartbeat and OMG I just realized that it’s been forever since I had pizza. As I start to come up with recipes again in the coming weeks I think you’ll probably start to see a whole lot of pizza up in here 🙂
So the moral of this random, rambling, mommy-brained post? Eat pizza, eat a lot of it. And make sure you’re getting sleep…lest you end up writing a random crazy post like this 🙂

Heather, I’ve been catching up on some of your posts, and I just want to say – congratulations! Your baby is ridiculously adorable! But I’m sure you knew that already. 🙂 Your birth story made me cry. I just love you, and you are going to be the best mom ever! (Lucky kid!)

Hey, at least you’re getting veggies in on that pizza! I’d say that’s a pretty big accomplishment for a mom of a newborn. 🙂

Yum! I’m making pizza for dinner tonight and have the dough rising as I type! Can’t wait to see what pizza recipes you come up with!

Amen to pizza! Another plus is that you can pick up a slice and eat it with one hand (while you are nursing, perhaps?)! 🙂
That pizza crust looks so thin and crispy. Is that a store bought flatbread? Anyway, I hope you are getting some rest, Heather!
Heather says
true, it’s a great nursing food…especially cold 🙂 and yes, it’s a store-bought crust (i can’t remember the brand though…?) – totally necessary these days!

Publix sells pizza dough in the Bakery Section and we’ve been using that as of late, but truly HOMEMADE pizza must be fabulous… I hope I find time to make this ASAP! 🙂
