I’m back. Sort of.
This past weekend we were in paradise, and try as I might I just can’t seem to wrap my head around being back to real life and doing real life things. What do you mean real life doesn’t include waking up to an amazing view of mountains and pine trees and a perfect lake right in front of you? You mean to tell me that real life doesn’t include happy hour on a deck every day before enjoying a fabulous dinner? And normal, REAL life doesn’t have paddle boarding and kayaking to my heart’s content all day every day? And basking in the sun on a deck? And slathering baby sunscreen all over my precious boy and taking him on boat rides in his adorable infant life jacket? And spending 6 whole entire uninterrupted days with the love of my life?
You mean that’s not every day?
Sad.
So here we are, back to reality (which, just to clarify, is awesome even without the lake and the mountains and the pines and the water sports) after a full day of travel yesterday. I just can’t seem to jump back in the kitchen just yet, so I’ll play with my precious baby boy and my sweet loving puppies and snuggle with my incredible husband. And I will be happy because I AM 🙂
There are some major changes coming up that I am so excited about, and I can’t wait to share as soon as I can. In the meantime pray for me – specifically for patience, sanity and JOY. Because life? This real, normal, ordinary life? It’s amazing and I am so blessed.
Happy Wednesday y’all!
Love.
Welcome back!!! OMG I hate surprises… but I love them at the same time! Glad you had an amazing time! 🙂
“Life will last the same : just choose if you want to cross it smiling or crying”. I know it better in french ;). But this is how we can translate it.
I love this sentence.
I’m impatient to know your changes.
it’s still beautiful in english too! 🙂
I think the happiest of people find joy in their ordinary everyday lives…but a trip to the lake doesn’t hurt, either, does it? 😉
But, in all seriousness, I’m working on finding gratitude in my everyday life – it’s not easy. So often do we forget that you shouldn’t live for the weekends, vacations, life’s big events…here and now can be just as joyful.
girl, i couldn’t agree more and am so thankful for the reminder 🙂
Welcome back! I’m so glad you had fun with your boys in paradise! I can’t wait to hear about the changes in your life…keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.
Beautiful! I totally get what you mean about being back to reality after vacation. Praying for ya!
Just gorgeous – can’t wait to hear about the changes!!!
