Many moons ago I had another blog. It was called ‘Faces of Beauty’ and was devoted to teaching women to love themselves without a lick of makeup on their faces, without Botox or surgeries. Just love for who they are, in the now, because of who they’ve been and because of where they’re going.
After a while it got to be too much for me to continue to seek out stories, but the impact running that blog had on me goes deep. Hearing stories of hundreds of women who have become proud of their faces, of their journeys, will change the way you see yourself. Which I suppose was the entire point.
That’s why sometimes I find it hard to talk about makeup – because for so long I fought to show women that while it’s fun to play with, it’s not a necessity to become beautiful. That being said, when Beautycounter launched the 5-minute face I was a little more than excited. I’m a big mascara girl and was already pumped about the launch of our reformulated lengthening mascara and our new volumizing mascara; however, I knew it couldn’t hurt to have a few other makeup staples to play with. I know you’ll think I’m biased, but honestly? I have been blown away by the entire collection.
The 5-minute face comes with:
- Tint Skin Hydrating Foundation
- Touchup Skin Concealer Pen
- Color Define Brow Pencil
- Lengthening or Volumizing Mascara
- Powder Blush Duo
- Lip Gloss
The best part? You are walked through the entire process, picking the best colors for you, and getting one heck of a deal in the process. Super intuitive, super fun, and the colors that I picked were absolutely perfect! You can check out how to get your own 5-minute face on Beautycounter’s site!
At the end of the day I love having a makeup routine that I can easily do in 5 minutes (honestly it’s less after a few practice runs) that looks clean and natural and beautiful. I also still go makeup-free frequently as well. But the most beautiful part is knowing that everything I’m using is safe and made by a company whose heart is to celebrate every woman’s unique beauty!
