Thank you all so much for your sweet comments on this morning’s post…if you didn’t already know, I really love my husband!

But something else happened 4 years ago, on this very day.  At the time we were clueless as to how it would change our lives forever, but we are so very thankful that it did!

4 years ago today our little Bunker was born!

This is the day that we got him…Nate adopted him as a surprise for me, and I have to say that my heart completely melted when I first saw and held him.  He was 8 weeks old and weighed 9 lbs.  He was scared and excited all at the same time.  And he was my baby!

Little did we know that our little 9 lb ball of fur would one day grow into a massive, sassy, hilarious dog.  Seriously, he’s huge…weighing in at almost 100 lbs and when he stands on his hind legs he’s as tall as me (5′ 10″).  He’s a big, happy boy!

RAWR!

Bunker (yes, I’m writing this to my dog…he is special!), you will always be my first baby, my little baby boy, my Boo Bear.  You have been a joy these 4 years, and I love you so much!  I hope you always wag your tail like your life depends on it, always try to stand between our legs to get your butt scratched, and (even though it’s kind of annoying sometimes) I hope you always try to talk to us when you want to play.

Love,

Mom 🙂
