OK so full disclosure here: Whitney and I are friends in real life and we have been friends in real life for practically a lifetime now. I think at first we weren’t sure what to think of one another (we met through a mutual friend and both wanted her to be our own friend), but after ending up in middle school, high school and college together I think it’s pretty safe to say that we each decided the other was pretty great. I know that’s my conclusion anyway 🙂
Truth be told though, even if I didn’t know Whitney in real life and I had only stumbled across her blog I know that I would fall in love immediately. I’m not a scrapbooker but so wish that I was, and if I was I would own every single kit that she makes. And for those of us who don’t know what we’re doing when it comes to memory keeping, she has a fabulous YouTube channel with explanations and ideas on what to do with scrapping!
But here’s the thing: even if you’re not a scrapbooker, her blog is filled with incredible inspiration by way of food, writing prompts, kiddo activities, exercise, photos, and life stories. I love that she does an entire series detailing her week in food, which is really fabulous when it comes to menu planning for a family. I’ll be honest, I’ve pinned quite a few of the plans and ideas and recipes for our very own dinners as well!
I think one of the best things I’ve done recently in my blogging career was branch out and start reading other blogs that aren’t food-centric. It’s kept me motivated and inspired and has led me to some truly amazing bloggers. And although I’ve known Whitney for forever, finding her blog has encouraged me beyond belief to be the best and most well-rounded person I can be. Whitney, thank you for being such a great friend and a light in my life all these years!
