Ah, motherhood. While admittedly I’m a lot more laid back the second time around, there are moments where I can’t even remember what I’m supposed to be doing with a newborn. Thankfully I follow some pretty amazing women online who write some pretty fantastic posts about motherhood, and reading their words always brings peace when I need it. Because I figure I’m not the only gal out there who needs to know that other women understand, here are some bloggers who have brought much-needed peace when it comes to mothering:
Daily Garnish. After I had Wes I spent a L O T of time reading through Emily’s parenting posts. I loved the straight-forward way she wrote about her firstborn’s goings on and the honesty in navigating motherhood the first time around. This time around I’m re-reading them and they’ve (once again) been a huge help!
Carpé Season. Liz is SUCH a great writer and makes me feel all the emotions when she writes about her babies. I love that she shares honestly, openly, and hilariously about motherhood, and I love that I can relate pretty much 100% of the time.
House of Rose. I have to admit, I love the wild photos of Mandy’s boys and seeing the chaos kind of makes my heart excited about what’s to come in our little family. The wrestling, the craziness, and the sweet – she shares it all, as well as her heart behind mothering her sweet boys!
Espresso and Cream. I shared about Madison’s story for her baby shower, but seeing her blossom into a mother has been such a blessing for me as well. She’s shared the ups and downs of the past 6 weeks candidly, in addition to some great recipes for first-time mommies.
Monica Swanson. Monica is such an encouragement beyond words, and I love the way she shares about motherhood on her blog. In addition to really great practical tips, she shares hilarious stories. Plus she’s a boy mom x4, which would kind of make my heart happy one day to say about myself!
I love all these blogs you listed! Such an encouragement to read other momma’s who write so well and honestly about being a mom.
Thanks for the kind words, Heather!
I wish we could be friends in real life and have playdates and drink all of the coffee together.
