I’ve never been much of a shot girl. Having only done 3 alcoholic shots (all vodka, all about a year apart) in my whole life I can certainly not attest to being a learned shot master if you will, HOWEVER I do know that I’m typically not a fan. The redeeming quality of shots is the cute little shot glasses. 😉
Now a terrible transition: once upon a time I worked at Cold Stone Creamery. Three out of my four summers in college I took 2 classes in each session, but one summer I took one of the sessions off. Then I didn’t know what to do with myself so in addition to my burrito place job I started working at Cold Stone for 4 whole weeks.
The pros: Ice cream. Candy. Working with my best friends. Working right next door to the place with the best margaritas in town.
The cons: having to sing silly songs every time we got a tip. Ugh. Worst.
Anyway, when I was going through the ol’ brain for ideas to use this fantastic International Delight Cold Stone Founder’s Favorite coffee creamer I suddenly came up with the bright idea to do a shot. A shot with ice cream. A shot that’s like a float, but mini-sized.
You guys, this is one shot I can get behind 100% – the miniature size makes it fun, and the flavor is like your favorite sundae and float, all in one nice gulp. I never really thought that using a coffee creamer could result in such gigantic flavor, but I have to say I was pleasantly surprised!
FOUNDER’S FAVORITE FLOAT SHOTS
- 1 small rounded scoop vanilla ice cream
- 1 tablespoon International Delight Cold Stone Founder’s Favorite coffee cream
- 1 teaspoon chocolate syrup
- 2-3 tablespoons root beer
So you can multiply this little recipe out as much as you want since you’ll be making one shot at a time. Place the ice cream in the bottom of the glass. Pour the coffee creamer over the ice cream. Drizzle in the chocolate syrup, and then top with as much root beer as you can still fit in the shot glass. Now SHOOT!!!
