Did you make resolutions this year? Goals? Pick a word of the year?

How’s that going?

Honestly I’m in unexplored territory as far as the goal-making process goes for me, and I couldn’t be more thrilled. I don’t know if it’s the pregnancy hormones or just a desire to take all things in life more seriously, but this year I bought Make It Happen by Lara Casey and I’ve been going through it with the idea that I want long-lasting, permanent changes. Career, marriage, motherhood, physical fitness, finances, all of it. I’ve been reading through the book and really challenging myself to take the challenges seriously and I’ll be darned if I’m not already seeing fruit from it!

I’m taking the rest of my free time this week to really finish the book strong and make meaningful goals, to create and carve out a life of purpose from the purpose already given to me. I get emails all the time from you guys asking about books, and I get offers all the time to review books (both cooking and non), but if you take the time to read any book this year that will change your life, this is it.

Wish me luck!

I’ve been looking for a new book and that one definitely sounds like a good one!
