Hey y’all! The winner’s listed at the bottom of this post…but I hope that you want to read what’s in the middle too 😉 Today was such a sloooooooooow day at work. Granted, I’m not upset about that, but it definitely made the hours creep by! I started getting snacky around 11 and dug into this bag of locally made chips:
I LOVE salt and pepper chips! These were no exception, and they had a little bit of sweetness to them as well. Such a tasty snack! Then (since we all know that a bag of chips won’t fill you up properly) I had a fabulous roasted tomato and mozzarella sandwich (from Starbucks):
Mmmmmmm…pesto, melty cheese, basil, spinach, and oven roasted tomatoes. ‘Twas divine!
The only thing I wish were slightly different is the texture of the tomatoes. They were a bit chewy and therefore the sweet tanginess lingered longer than I would have liked. Still really good though!
I went on a walk today (no running…the workout page will be updated later), and guess what? The knee pain is back. I’m pretty upset, but just trying to focus on taking the weekend easy as far as exercise is concerned. It’s just so frustrating that I’m 26 and already feel crippled. To be honest, being so gosh-darn tired isn’t helping, but I’m thankful that tonight when I get home I’ll be able to just go to sleep! Sorry to be such a downer…I really am glad it’s Friday!
And now, without further ado, the winner of the amazing Stonyfield Oikos prize is:
Congratulations Lauren! Please email me your shipping address and phone number at heathersdish@gmail.com, and Stonyfield will send out your goodies soon! Thanks to everyone who participated!
Speaking of giveaways, make sure you check out Tina’s PopChip giveaway here!
As boring as this might be, does anyone have any big plans for the weekend? Do tell! We are going to relax, spring clean, and run the doggies tomorrow, then celebrate Easter with our friends! Can’t wait!

Nothing exciting for me at all. I am so sorry about your knee Heather. Have you gone to the doctor yet? Maybe you should have an MRI to see what is going on. Hang in there!!

Aw sorry girl, I can relate to the knee pain. I’m 25 and crippled too! I’m thinking I need to get an x-ray because my knees just hurt terribly after a hard workout.

Swam and got my hair cut last night, long ride today plus a lot of lounging around, then swim + run and dinner with my parents tomorrow. Should be a nice weekend!
Looking forward to hearing more about your idea 🙂

So far Easter weekend has been incredibly stormy! But I am hoping to have a nice dinner with my SO’s family. 🙂
I have knee pain, too, and I have found that swimming is a great sport because it is so low impact. I can get more out of a workout by swimming than any other form of exercise.

Awesome! Thanks so much, Heather!!! I’ll be emailing you in just a second. Don’t know if I’ve mentioned it here before, but I’ve been dealing with knee and shin pain for years now, and I’m 23, so I totally understand how discouraging it can be. I’m praying we both can have healing to-as I call it-my granny knees-someday very soon!
Jessica @ How Sweet says
Hope your knee feels better, girl. 🙁

Love those chippies… so much better than the greasy regular potato chips! No big plans over here, just lots of resting and reading. Happy Easter Weekend 🙂

Hey girl, I feel ya on the frustrating knee pain!!!! I thought mine was completely gone, and it flared up about 4 miles into my last run. SO frustrating when you feel like a million bucks…but something as simple as knee pain stops you in your tracks.
Gracie @ Girl Meets Health says
That Starbucks panini looks BOMB! I’ve tried and love some of their breakfast sandwiches, so I have a feeling I’d love that panini as well.
My plans for the weekend include staying home as much as possible! I was away for most of March, so it feels really good to just be in my own house. My family is coming over on Sunday to celebrate Easter, so it looks like I won’t have to leave the house then either, except for church!
I’m really sorry to hear about your knee pain, by the way. That’s such a bummer :/ I hope that it feels better soon. Until then, stay strong! xoxo
