My inbox is filled with emails most days – business communication, invitations, marketing pitches, personal correspondence. These days, however, my inbox has filled up with another kind of message: the annual “how to pick a New Year’s Resolution and Stick With It” email from every person who has ever seen my email address.
In our family this year, we are working on making smarter choices in our eating habits on a daily basis. It’s not about dieting or losing weight, but just making small changes that will add up to a healthier, happier life. I love that there’s a no-pressure approach that still challenges us to think through what we consume – that little bit of grace makes all the difference!
One change that I’ve decided to make has two parts:
1. Start making salad dressings from scratch;
2. Switch to organic products to create those salad dressings
I realize that it sounds almost silly, but what’s really silly is how SILLY EASY it is to make your own organic salad dressing from scratch at home. If you have a blender or food processor, you simply throw everything in there and press go. If you have a mason jar, put everything in there and shake. And if you have a bowl and a whisk, throw everything in there and whisk it into oblivion.
Here are three extremely simple salad dressing recipes that you can feel good about feeding your family!
