The Big Dam Bridge

I’m so glad I’m not the only one obsessed with reading old cookbooks…I know they’re not technically literature, but they’re still amazing!

Yesterday, other than my sister in law Chrissy and I completely wearing ourselves out on the hills of Little Rock, it was a pretty uneventful day.  We worked out, ate breakfast, napped, and ran some errands around town.

And then we went to the Big Dam Bridge.

Really…see?

It crosses the Arkansas River and has incredible views in either direction.  It also serves as part of a really scenic trail to walk, jog, ride bikes, and otherwise get out and enjoy the beauty around you!  Pretty gorgeous, huh?

Today we are making the trek to Dallas from Little Rock, and then getting slammed with fun activity after fun activity with family.  This trip has already been such a whirlwind, but it’s so great to see everyone!  I promise to be back soon with food posts and recipes, but hey…travel is part of life too 🙂

Hope you guys have an amazing day!

Glad you guys are Enjoying the traveling and family time! I actually grabbed an OLD cookbook (circa 1970s) from our house entrance (landlord puts books there all the time) – Culinary Institute of America Cookbook. I mean, does it get better than that?! I think it’s fascinating. 🙂

We’re snowed in today and after snow shoveling for hours I’ve been reading through all of my mom’s cookbooks. Then I log on and see your post about them! Glad I’m not the only one, but it sure wouldn’t stop me!
