Y’all.  There are no words.

Reese's Peanut Butter Icebox Cake When I set out to make this cake for a ChefMom piece I had no idea what was about to happen.  I didn’t realize how my life was going to change, how the very world of baking as I knew it was about to fly out the window.

YOU DON’T HAVE TO BAKE THIS CAKE.  And it turns out like a heavenly cloud of peanut butter and luscious chocolate by simply sitting in the refrigerator overnight.

So basically you’re “baking” in a fridge.  Sort of.  Maybe?

Just go with it.

Anyway, I literally had to hide this entire cake behind everything in the fridge lest I devour the whole thing before Nate came home to help me save myself from it.  Thank goodness he came and whisked it off to his office for other people to eat because it sure would have been a shame for me to eat it all before the rest of the world could have some.

Or that’s what I’m telling myself anyway 😉

Icebox cake.  You just piece it together and let it sit overnight to marinate in its own glorious goodness, then pull it out just in time to share with others (and by others I mean a fork and a good movie).  This one literally tastes like a big Reese’s peanut butter cup all by itself, but if you wanted to top it off with some of its namesake candy I certainly wouldn’t judge you for it.  Just promise me you’ll make it this weekend for the big game, mmmk?

Oh, and here’s the recipe.  Enjoy!
