I wish I could accurately, verbally express how much I love this sight:
For whatever reason (which, I’m sure, has to be a good one) Colorado does not share Texas’ affinity for houses made of brick. I really miss that!

Red brick no less! 🙂 I love the brick homes in Texas. California is bereft of them.

I know what you mean. I love gig on walks when I visit my brother in Pittsburgh and admiring all the brick houses. Oh, and the porches, CA doesn’t really do porches.

I love brick houses too. Not a lot in Oregon because they mold easily.

Denver has tons of brick! Something about a bad fire a long time ago… I love exposed brick like that. Gorgeous.

I am from Florida and would love visiting Georgia with all of its brick houses. The downfall is that all of their soil is red clay, which makes for poor planting but great looking brick houses.
When I moved to Texas I was so excited to be able to buy a brick house and get away from all the Stucco homes in FL. Funny the differing views.

Really? That is so funny. I have lived in Texas my whole life so I just kind of assumed most houses were made of brick. I am too sheltered! obviously!

Utah doesn’t do brick either. It must be more expensive in the West. Some of the older homes are brick but most of the new ones are stucco.
