Pancake Love

This morning I woke up:

A) With a fever again,

B) With a craving for pancakes,

C) With 5 more inches of snow on the ground, or

D) All of the above

If you said “D” then you win!Β  I don’t know what just yet, but you win…that’s enough, right? πŸ™‚Β  Anyway, yes…I have a fever again.Β  And it feels terrible.Β  Since when did the flu last a solid week even when someone’s laying in bed?Β  I remember the good ol’ days when the flu was a 24-hour bug and it just meant staying home with extra loving from Mom and Dad.Β  This kind of flu – the one I have now – I am not a fan.Β  Please go away, never to return.Β  I’m over you.

Anyway, during a moment of feeling better, I whipped up some banana pancakes and dreamed fervently about feeling well and eating banana pancakes at The Gazebo on Maui, one of the fondest memories of our honeymoon that I have.Β  I would love to be there right now, eating a fresh delicious breakfast and then getting ready to explore the tide pools outside.Β  And hold my husband’s hand.

He’s super cute.

Basically I used this recipe, but halved it and added a whole mashed banana as well.Β  When I say banana pancakes, that’s exactly what I mean!Β  Grill them up, eat them up, and take a nap…that’s the agenda for the day.

To those of you who are healthy…live it up for me today, will ya? πŸ˜‰

I’m sorry you’re sick again πŸ™ It’s the worst when you think you’re better and then get slammed again. I think you should add chocolate chips to those pancakes to, you know, round out the meal…

Nothing like a few pancakes to set the day straight again. This recipe is very much like the one I use for lazy mornings except I use whole wheat flour. I can vouch that these are really good. In case you hadn’t already guessed πŸ˜‰
