Sorry guys! I swear I have a story as to why I didn’t do my little photo project post yesterday afternoon like I promised!

I started off yesterday with an hour-long WillPower & Grace workout (sweat city) and an awesome egg, ham, and hot sauce sandwich on a sandwich thin:

Such a wonderful breakfast!  I’m definitely more of a savory breakfast kind of gal, despite all of the smoothies and pancakes I normally make.  This is what I really like!  Shortly thereafter I also had a 6-inch chicken breast sandwich from Subway, but we were headed to Mt Evans, a 14,000+ foot mountain.  We knew there wouldn’t be any food up there, so we wanted to make sure we could eat while we still could!

Unfortunately it appears that I’ve learned nothing while living here though, and totally forgot to drink water before going up.  I got some altitude sickness (headache and nausea) and ended up taking a nap on the way back down.  And, lame as it is, that is why I forgot to post the first photo project post.  Forgive me?

Dinner was at Rock Bottom!  I love that place 🙂  I sampled the Nitro Dark, but wasn’t a big fan.  It just didn’t have the OOMPH! that I love in a porter or stout, so a sample was really all I needed:

We all split the spicy spinach queso:

And I ended up ordering the chili.  Don’t ask me why, but sometimes in the dead middle of summer I just feel like a bowl of chili.  Such is life.  It came with a side of sour cream, cheese, chopped red onion, and a couple of chips.  I dumped everything in except for most of the sour cream (I only had about 1 tsp of that):

Sorry the picture quality is crazy bad!  I hate how restaurants have practically zero lighting in them!

When we got home we took the dogs for a quick walk and then had dessert:  Angel Food Cake with some of the fabulous lemon curd I made Sunday:

Sweet tart flavors are the love of my culinary life.  Amen.

What’s your favorite workout to do right now?  Why? I am falling head-over-heels for WillPower & Grace!  We’ve been lucky enough to do the photography for a lot of the media that’s coming out for them right now, but I’m convinced that Stacey Lei is a genius.  She has combined dance, yoga, pilates, and strength into an intense, fun, and INSPIRATIONAL workout!  The funny thing is that I don’t love pilates and I do NOT dance, but it’s magical.  I love it…and it makes me SWEAT and WORK like nobody’s business!  I’ll see if I can get some DVDs to giveaway for y’all soon, but no promises 🙂

Mmm… that chili looks good even though it’s 90+ degrees outside, lol.

Walking is my all time favorite workout.

This disgustingly hot weather has left me stuck in the gym, so I’ve been going to a lot of spin classes. I like the “feeling” of being outside but having great music to keep me motivated. Plus, it is way better than being on the boring dreadmill.

I’ve been sticking to running about three times a week (for twenty to thirty minutes per run), and taking dance and Pilates classes and walking on the other days.

That work out sounds really cool, I need to look into getting that. Right now, I am really into walking. Sounds strange but it is what it is.

I’m interested in that DVD. It sounds great! Right now I am really into classes in general. I have a feeling after the pregnancy I will be dying to get back to my own lifting and cardio plans and workouts though. I always go through phases.

Egg sandwich with hot sauce is one of my favorite breakfast choices! I love a good cup of chili, no matter what time of year it is! The spicy queso sounds awesome!!

My favorite workouts are Turbo Jam, P90X and ChaLEAN Extreme, but I’m trying to branch out and try new things.

Both Raymond and I got sick last year when we were in CO on our Ski trip. Even though we tried to drink tons of water, I guess our body got shocked going from Sea level to high altitutes in Breckenridge.

Wow that workout sounds awesome, I’d love to try it! Right now my workouts have been a lot of running sessions as I am training for my first 5K at the end of July.

By the way, your breakfast looks delicious and maybe I will make something like that tomorrow!

I’ve never heard of that workout, but it sounds great!

My new trainer has me working with kettlebells for the first time, and I’m digging them!

Ohhhh I’d love a DVD giveaway!

Right now, since my knee has been bugging me, I’ve been getting back into power walking! Which is giving me quite a workout, and is much easier to handle in the heat we’re currently having.

I’m very much a savory breakfast kind of gal too! Give me eggs and hot sauce over oats and pancakes any day!

The spicy spinach queso sounds SO good.

I’m loving Insanity workouts, walking, and just plain old dancing right now for workouts!

For cardio, I am falling in love with the stairmaster again. It gets my HR so high, the same was if I were running but its so much easier on my knee right now.

I do a white balance in restaurants. Its the only way the pics dont all look so dang orange.

I looooove chili too. I dont think weather affects me with what I want to eat. It’s air conditioned in the restaurant anyways 🙂

That lemon curd looks amazing! I’m right there with you about sweet/tart flavors. Call me crazy but I choose key lime pie over chocolate almost every time!

My favorite workouts right now are running, rollerblading and yoga. 🙂
