A Thanksgiving Prayer

IF THE ONLY PRAYER YOU EVER SAY IN YOUR WHOLE LIFE IS “THANK YOU” THAT WOULD SUFFICE.

-Meister Eckhart

God, thank you for the enormous blessings in my life.  Thank you for my amazing family who loves and supports me no matter what – always has and always will.  I never doubt their love for us!  Thank you for the puppies that bring joy to our lives every day, who unabashedly love us even when we’re cranky and tired.  Thank you for our beautiful home, that we have a roof over our heads and food to eat.  Thank you so much for the sweet child baking away in my belly right now, and thank you for the life of our first baby who’s no doubt watching over us from the heavens with you – I can’t wait to meet both of them.  Thank you thank you THANK YOU for my amazing husband, who loves me, encourages me, and speaks truth into my life even when it hurts.  You have blessed me with a life partner in him that can never be matched, a man who has captured my heart and made me fall more in love with you.  Thank you for our friends who love us so well and always point us toward your truth.  Lord, you have blessed me more than I could ever dream of deserving and first and foremost I am thankful for YOU, your LOVE, your TRUTH and your SALVATION.  You are everything and I love you.

THANK YOU.

Amen.
