My Babies

I might be a little obsessed with my dogs.  Might be = I am DEFINITELY obsessed with my dogs.  I am 100% that dog owner that thinks they’re dogs are the cutest, best, sweetest, funniest, most wonderful pups in the world.

Unless you have them on a leash.  That’s a different story.

Bunker is the older of our two dogs and most definitely the least mature.  He is a chocolate lab/Chesapeake Bay retriever mix that we adopted from the SPCA in the Northern Dallas area.  We got him when he was 8 weeks old and weighed a mere 9 lbs.  Now he’s a 100-lb hunk of love, slobber, and goofy noises.  Bunker is our first baby, my baby boy, and one of the sweetest dogs in the entire world.

Now to Keira.  We adopted Keira from the Boulder Humane Society a little over a year ago, and I have to say that she is nowhere near the scared, sad little puppy she was when we got her.  She puts up with her brother not knowing how huge he is when they play.  In fact, she LOVES Bunker and always wants to be near him.

Keira’s love languages are food and snuggles.  She is adorable and has won her daddy’s heart.

It’s a wild ride sometimes but there’s not a thing about our little family I would change 🙂  Well, except maybe the dog fur that’s stuck in the corners of the staircase.  But I have a solution for that…

…get rid of the staircase 🙂

Your dogs are adorable! I’m totally that person too. I have a yellow lab who is 10 months old named Duke. I love him to death.

I took him to get his pictures taken last week and have a framed picture of him on my desk. Not strange at all right? 🙂

Heather…they are so sweet!! I’m trying to convince my hubby that we need a dog. Or at least that my six year old boy does! What little boy should grow up with no dog, right? 🙂

They’re gorgeous! Nothing like the love you get from your dog(s). I wouldn’t trade all the dog hair and mud on the walls for anything!

They are so cute 🙂 We got Shiner from the pound when he was only 6 weeks. He was bread as a show dog but was born ‘different’ so he ended up in the pound. Such a sad story… but lucky us, we were able to rescue him 🙂
