MRF – Sheets

Hello hello! How’s everyone this morning?  I really appreciated y’alls comments on yesterday’s post about fitting in exercise…I’m still struggling with it, but I’m really trying to figure out what the reason is behind me not being happy with myself.  Regardless, I’m so thankful to have such a strong and supportive community of blends (blog friends) out there 🙂

Yesterday for treat day at work I made some cheesecake swirl brownies (and yes they were amazing!)

But tried to start off the day right with 1/2 cup of plain yogurt and a crumbled Mama Pea KIND bar on top!

And then work got incredibly busy and we didn’t have any substantial food at the office, so I had a “lunch” of a 100-calorie popcorn:

And an apple:

I was trying to rush around because we were leaving early to go to…ESTES PARK! We had some friends from our old church, Watermark Dallas, in for a family camp, so we went up to hang out with them for the evening.  We wanted to get into town early though…every street in Estes is one lane, and during “rush hour” it gets pretty insane.  We parked and decided to eat at Dunraven Downtown!  Basically a VERY small Italian restaurant…and SOOOOOO good.  We started off with salads and creamy garlic dressing (reminds me of my Papa):

And I ordered the lasagna:

I finished the ENTIRE THING!  I was very hungry apparently.  It was actually just the right amount to make me feel satisfied but not stuffed…but then we decided we couldn’t live without some…

For some reason they sell BlueBell at a little shop in Estes Park…but other than that we can’t find it anywhere north of Texas!  Rumor has it the owner is from Texas and just decided he couldn’t live without BlueBell, so once or twice a year he drives all the way down to South Texas with a massive refrigerated truck just to pick it up.  And I am OHSOGLAD he does!  We found this car thingy (technical term):

And Nate and I split a cone with homemade vanilla and cookies ‘n’ cream (my favorites!)

He’s such a great model!

Then there’s me…not so great of a model.  I was told to laugh at Amy’s joke, but I decided to be a weirdo instead…

On the way up to the YMCA camp we made some new friends!  This guy was full of life…

To the left, to the left!

To the front, to the front!

To the right, to the right!

Now dip, baby, dip 🙂

Marriage Ref Friday

Today’s questions is VERY IMPORTANT:  do you tuck the sheets in when making the bed, or do you just leave them loose and hanging?  Remember, your answer could help save a marriage 🙂

HAPPY FRIDAY Y’ALL!

    Heather-

What part of Dallas did you live in? I just moved from Dallas (lived there for 4 years) about a year ago and I miss Blue Bell for sure:-)

I’m for tucking the sheets in! It makes the bed look more orderly and neat and if I’m going to go to the trouble of making it, I figure I might as well do it nicely.

hey there! We lived in the Plano/Richardson area of Dallas for about 2 years or so before we decided to move to Colorado…there are times I miss it, but then all I have to do is step outside and look at the mountains 🙂

baaaahahahaha! That picture of you cracks me up.

My huz and I have always wanted to go to Estes Park but we never made it before we moved away from the West. 🙁

I tuck the sheets in on the end, but leave them loose on the sides. 🙂

Great pics and posts Heather! Estes Park is beautiful! I have been hiking up there in the summer.

Bed sheets…I always make the bed and I tuck my side in at the bottom and leave my husband’s side untucked. He likes the “roominess” at night to move his feet, but if I leave my side untucked, then the sheets get all moved to one side or the other in the night. I found if I tucked my side in, in the morning the sheets stay pretty much in the same spot which also makes it easy to make.

Before I was married, I always tucked the sheets in at the bottom because I came from a military father who made us have perfect “hospital corners” and now I’m a product of that. 🙂 Happy bed-making!

lol, Heather! Loved your question..the most random thing ever, but oh, the controversy! I’m a non-tucker. I can’t be bothered! ;-p

Love the pictures…and man, ice-cream after a nice Italian meal…what is better than that?

I liked the picture of you! Looks like something goofy I would do too… I rarely make the bed, but when I do, I definitely tuck the ends, and my hubby pulls them right out as soon as he gets in bed so he can stick his feet out. Bless his heart. 😉

Lasagna + ice cream = my favorites! YUMMM

I am VERY OCD about tucking the sheets in. I don’t like when they’re loose and fall off, get jumbled in the blankets, etc. My husband is a messy sleeper, so I have to tuck them extra tight, lol.

I tuck the sheets in – we both like the bed made that way (figured out that one a while back).

That breakfast looks so good. I need to start tucking into some of the bars I have at home to eat with yogurt for breakfast, or a snack. Yum yum.

I also had to add that you MUST tuck. Pea Daddy doesn’t tuck and it drives me batty. I wake up with the bottom of the sheet wrapped around my neck like a noose. Seriously, dude, it takes two seconds. TUCK!!!!
