All I have to say is TGIF. This week was tiring!  Do y’all like how I did my post title Ashley-style?  She’s so cute, I just couldn’t help myself!

I have 3 things to say today:

  1. I swallowed a bug last night;
  2. I had a dream that I was a supporting actress in a horror movie;
  3. It’s Marriage Ref Friday with a real issue from our very real marriage!

#1:  I swallowed a bug last night.

This is a very true and a very real story.  Last night we were riding our bikes around a lake near our house so that we could see this view:

Besides the fact that the view is STUNNING, I also rediscovered my love of riding my bike.  It was hard, and I was so completely out of breath at points, but I had a blast!  That is until I noticed all of the bugs in the air…no big deal though, I just kept my mouth shut and breathed through my nose.  UNTIL we were climbing a really steep hill and I accidentally sucked one in and swallowed!  BLECH!  I was so grossed out and I felt like the thing was stuck in my throat the rest of the night!  At least I had a chance to see this in all of its glory!

#2:  I had a dream that I was the supporting actress in a horror movie.

I am the queen of weird and crazy dreams!  Last night I dreamt that I was in a movie of I Know What You Did Last Summer proportions…and y’all, it was NOT pretty!  It was one of those things where I knew it was a dream, but it was also real life, and so I was super dramatic in everything I said or did.  Unfortunately I don’t have any details for you on the plot (sorry) but I thought the dream was weird and at least deserved a lil’ mention on here 🙂

#3:  Today is Marriage Ref Friday!!!

Today on Marriage Ref Friday I had a tumbler of coffee and a chocolate/peanut butter GM for breakfast!

‘Twas delicious 🙂

Today’s MRF debate is about cars in a garage.  For this you must be made aware of a few things:

  • we have a 2-car garage
  • the garage was a selling point for us because we did not want a 1-car garage
  • both cars can fit in the garage
  • we both believe that we share everything in our marriage, and therefore there is no “this is my side of the garage” or “this is my car” mentality

Now, having made those points, our debate is on whether or not we should park both cars in the garage at the same time.  What do you think?  If you have a 2-car garage should you park both cars in there or have one in the drive-way and one in the garage?  I’ll announce the winner around 5pm Mountain Time today!

Happy Friday everyone!

I have a four car garage and all cars go into the garage. My parents dont like the cars to be out in the bad elements especially sleet, snow, or extreme heat!! 🙁
I think that you bought the house for 2 cars, so they should both be in ther garage!!

Both cars in the garage at the same time, otherwise you’ll accumulate loads of junk in the side of the garage you don’t use. Besides it’s better for your cars 😉

2 cars in the garage !

My husband and I have friends that have a 2 car garage and ZERO cars park in it. It’s filled with their (mostly his) JUNK. He says that it’s his man space and that she shouldn’t get a say in what he keeps in there.

That would SOOOO not go over well in this house. We’re equals and we share everything.

Both in the garage – why else get a two car garage?? We have a one-car garage and there are no cars in there. Just crap.

Both in the garage. If you can’t fit them, then the newer car goes in! (Since both cars are both of yours, then it shouldn’t be a problem!) Sarah for Real was so thorough in her answer! I agree with her!

    1. I stepped on a slug-like leech-like bug last night 🙁 2. I also had a dream that I was LIVING a horror movie! I almost bled to death (sorry for the visual). It was not pleasant.

I think we had similar nights. 🙂

I say one car in the garage, that way you have lots of storage and can switch the cars to make it fair. 🙂

I say that if there is plenty of room, both cars in at once. If it is a super tight squeeze, then one in the driveway. Oh, and with that gorgeous view, I don’t even feel bad for you swallowing a bug.

Well, if you have the space then I don’t see why both wouldn’t be parked in the garage? We have a two car garage…but all 3 of our cars are in the driveway. Peter’s motorcycle, tools, and other random stuff inhabits the garage. Thank goodness for his sake I got used to it quickly.

I would say both in the garage, but that’s just based on you saying that the garage was a selling point for you guys.
I personally have so little experience parking in a garage that I prefer driveways & carports & street parking. I always get nervous to park in a garage (I’ve had to do that maybe 10 times in my life – the whole growing up without a garage thing might factor into this equation).
I personally could never park my car in a garage and be content… then again I don’t know anything about this whole idea of “snow.”

I’m totally singing that camp song…

“There was an old lady who swallowed a fly.
I dunno why she swallowed that fly,
    Perhaps she’ll die.”

(Not that you’re an old lady! Haha, it’s the fly part that got me singing.)

I think we need more info. What sort of cars do you have? What season and weather?

I think both cars in the garage if it’s the cold winter or hot summer. Or if they are both newer-ish cars, then they should stay nicer if you keep them in the garage. If one’s more of a junker and maybe leaks fluids, then it should stay outside. But only if you have a non-driveway spot for it (so not to stain the driveway either). Furthermore, no parking tandem for sure. Lastly, if you have a lot of lawn mower, tools, storage-type things and it’s just too crowded, then I can see leaving one car out of the garage until you have a yard sale.

    Whew, that’s long, sorry!

Both Cars in the Garage! Why leave one in the driveway? Specially you guys being in CO… the weather is fine now but in winter who wants to get snow off their car in the AM… and in our case in the HEAT of Houston having a car sitting in the driveway is not smart or good for the car.

Our garage is too cluttered with crap. Only one car can fit in the garage right now. Which is fine with me.

Unless you have a bunch of stuff cluttering your garage, you should definitely park both cars in it. Especially during the winter. Who wants to scrape their car anyway?

I know what you did last summer; what a classic!! J. Love at her finest! ha.

And I say both in the garage for sure. I don’t know why you wouldn’t except maybe if you guys are hoarding some goods on one side; but that’s a whole nother show entirely 😉

Both in the garage. Why not?? It is a 2 car garage after all. We have a 2 car garage and park both our cars in there. With that said, if for some reason we have something large in our garage (project happening, etc.) my car is always the one left out. I guess that is because my car is older than his. I am okay with that.

We have a 2 car garage, but only I park in it bc (a) bf has an F-150 & it won’t fit anyway and (b) the other side of the garage is for our bikes, weight bench, and of course – his beloved tools 🙂

    It’s a 2 car garage….so…..yeah. 😉
Gorgeous view on your bike ride! Sorry about the bug 🙁
I had a very vivid dream too, that involved AI’s Casey James 😀
Oh-it wasn’t THAT kind of dream. He was just there. which was just fine 🙂
