Happy Friday (finally)!!! This week has been so busy yet so slow at the same time…does that even make sense?

Last night I had an impromptu dinner with my friend Stefanie last night in Boulder.  Originally we were planning on going to a rooftop patio at The Rio, but there was a 45 minute wait, so we ended up going to Centro, which was just down the street:

I was so excited, I’d never been there before!  First off we started with water (it’s all about hydration, y’all):

And some cucumber infused mojitos:

SOOOOOOOO good and sooooooooooo refreshing!  Since Stef is friends with the manager, he also hooked us up with some of their fabulous lime cured white bass ceviche:

The only other time I had ceviche was in Dallas, and I swore I would never EVER eat that crap again.  But since this was free and a gift of sorts, I tried it anyway…and LOVED it!  Turns out the stuff in Dallas was cured in lemon juice, which is just too tart, and didn’t have any other seasonings!  This had tomatillo sauce, fresh avocado, and jicama in it too.  I am now a ceviche enthusiast 🙂  We also split this asparagus, spring mushroom and queso oaxaca quesadilla:

Once again, incredible.  It had a tomatillo-avocado cream sauce served with it, and there was a party in my mouth 🙂  I think I’ve found a new favorite restaurant!  We just sat and talked for a while, then decided to walk down Pearl Street Mall since it was so nice out.  Once we got down to the other end we both needed to use the restroom, but since there are so many homeless people that hang out there, all of the coffee shops and restaurants will only let you use the restroom if you buy something.  We stopped at a coffee shop and each got a shot of espresso 🙂

I haven’t had one of those since my Starbucks days!  It was good though, and I was thankful for the restroom 🙂  More sitting and talking, and then we decided to walk back.  This is where things get REALLY exciting though…

I have been looking and looking for a frozen tart yogurt place nearby, and I had just about given up when all of a sudden…BAM!  Maiberry shone like a beacon in the night and beckoned us in to try its yogurt.  And I am ever EVER so glad that I did!  First of all, it’s amazing, second of all it’s really affordable, and third of all it’s actually good for you!  Sounds like a winning combo to me 🙂

Breakfast this morning was a GM in a Hawaii mug because I’m doing everything I can to pretend I’m on a tropical vacation these days:

Always the perfect breakfast 🙂

So first of all, thank you all for your sweet comments on yesterday’s post…I’m thankful that I’m in all of y’alls thoughts and prayers!  There could be some big changes ahead for Nate and myself, but it’s all in God’s hands at this point!  I’ll keep you updated when I can 🙂

Marriage Ref Friday

Today’s Marriage Ref question has to do with dogs…and if you’re a cat lover I’d still love it if you voted anyway!  So here goes:  big dog or little dog?

Which do YOU prefer?!?!

Happy Friday!

I say big dog. But then again, that question is sorta hard for me. Our english bulldog is 65 pounds, so of course that’s big, but she’s extremely short and takes up little space. So I guess my true answer is medium sized. But since that’s not an option, I say big!

I’m a medium size dog person, I grew up with Brittany’s but right now we have a mini dauchshund who is suprisingly kind of a rock star. We did several 5-9 mile hikes with him last summer and he only had to be carried on the one we got lost on and went 12 miles and it was only the last half mile or so he had to be carried.

I’d rather have a small dog then no dog at all and with our life right now, small dog it is

Both! I have a little pup but I LOVE big dogs and I want one when I have a yard. I grew up with a mix and they make for a really cute play group 🙂

Big dogs, definitely. If I want a little pet, I’ll keep my cat.

BIG! Well, our dog right now is about 55lbs and not at all as big as the “he might be part St. Bernhard” that we were told at the shelter! Thank goodness.

Haha. I cracked up at doing your best to pretend you’re on a tropical vacation. Sounds good to me though!

You’re going to hate my vote – medium dogs! I can’t stand the tiny little yappers but if a dog is BIG I get nervous. Our dog is about 50 lbs so I guess I would have to say Big between the two choices.

Oh that’s tough because I can make the arguement for both since I have had both. I am going to bail out of this one…can’t wait to see what the consensus is! 🙂

I’m voting big, but what I really want is a medium-sized dog. A black lab would be perfect!

I have a cocker spaniel which is a medium sized dog. That’s definitely my preference. I don’t like really small dogs because they can’t keep up on walks and runs. I like big dogs, but they take up so much space in the house!

I like medium sized dogs. Probably leaning towards the bigger size I guess. I don’t know I’ve never owned a dog, sad I know 🙁

Big dog! We have a rhodesian ridgeback/german shepherd mix – he is a beast! Sweetest dog ever, but he scares some people because he is so large!

I’ve got a Jack Russell Terrier, which is like a BIG dog in a SMALL package.

The best of both worlds! She’s rough-and-tumble and goes on hikes or runs and keeps up like a big dog, but small enough to cuddle too!

How do I always find a way to answer, “TIE!” on these?

I always thought big dogs were better (it’s what I grew up with) until I got a little dog (Pug) and now I’m more of a little dog lover, but overall, both. I love dogs 🙂

The BF and I are planning on getting a dog someday soon. I have 2 cats. My only stipulation is that they dog has to be good with cats and it can’t eat them!! 🙂

The BF wants a pug. I like French bulldogs or a lab–something I can run with!

I grew up with big black labs, so I love big dogs. BUT…one of my dogs right now, Baxter, is a small dog– I never thought I’d want one, but he wandered into our lives (literally…off the street), and I LOVE him. I love how easy it is to carry him around and snuggle with him!

So…I guess I vote for one of each! lol

I definitely prefer a larger dog… I grew up with an australian shppard and then a yellow lab (my all time fav kind of dog).
My husband grew up with small white dogs with names like Buffy and Snowball ;P …so, he likes little white dogs…
    WEIRD, I know… lol

gah-neither. although we have a dog, i’m a cat person.
I guess I’m a cat person, because I “relate” to cats more.
Dogs are like, “hey- pay attention to me!! i’m high maintenance!! pet me pet me pet me!”
Cats are like, “leave me alone. When I want you to touch me, I’ll let you know. Otherwise, just let me do my thing.”
    LOL!
