Love Letter to My Husband

My dearest husband, Nate,

To say that I love you so much would be the understatement of a lifetime.  Words cannot simply express the pure joy that my heart feels when I think about how you and I share a life together, and I know I could not have been blessed any more than I have been by being your wife.  You make me sublimely happy!

It’s so crazy to think back to when we met in college and started dating.  You know that I was not in a good place at that time.  The funny thing is, I didn’t even realize how bad it was until you, with God’s help, were able to bring me out of it.  You helped restore my faith in people and my hope in love.  You treated me like a princess from Day 1, and since we’ve been married you’ve treated me like a queen.  I am so lucky to be married to such an amazing man of character.

I love going to sleep and waking up next to you every day; I love cooking for and with you whenever we can; I love raising our two sweet puppies with you; and I love thinking about having and raising children with you one day.  I love traveling with you, dreaming with you, and helping people with you.  I love every second we get to spend together, even if we’re fighting.  Every second with you has been a blessing, and I thank God every day for you.

My lover is radiant and ruddy,

outstanding among ten thousand.

His head is purest gold;

his hair is wavy

and black as a raven.

His eyes are like doves

by the water streams,

washed in milk,

mounted like jewels.

His cheeks are like beds of spice

yielding perfume.

His lips are like lilies

dripping with myrrh.

His arms are rods of gold

set with chrysolite.

His body is like polished ivory

decorated with sapphires.

His legs are pillars of marble

set on bases of pure gold.

His appearance is like Lebanon,

choice as its cedars.

His mouth is sweetness itself;

he is altogether lovely.

This is my lover, this my friend,

O daughters of Jerusalem.

I love you so much, my sweetheart, and I can’t wait to spend the rest of our lives together!

Love,

Your bride,

Heather
